Spacious, tidy & clean and very helpful and polite staff. The hotel is located very near to the underground station, it takes no more than 5 minutes. Also, it is near to the Express Bus Station which runs various routes to many parts of Korea. We took a taxi here and it cost as 38,000 won. The hotel staff was so helpful to have looked up all the travelling information to the place we intended to go. This is important for someone who speak no Korean.

Close to Gangnam station; English speaking staff. Hotel appears old. Walls are dirty; loud clocks in room; You can always tell the quality of a hotel when you first walk in by two things...the kindness of the people who check you in and the smell! If it smells old...then it will look and feel unclean and old.

Clean, good location and well managed. Computer printer was not working. Coatel Hotel ,Seoul was in good location Just two small blocks from main street . There are many good restaurants ,shops and
fast food chains. Tthere are beautiful high rise buildings along the main street mentioned above.There are also subway stations near by so that you do not need any taxi and other means of transportion vehicle.If you are american, There are Mcdonald and Burger King.AS mentioned,This hotel Is clean ,cute and well managed.

- Located very close to Kangnam Station (major shopping, eating, entertainment district)
- Nice, clean, spacious rooms
- Friendly front-desk staff
- The room wasn't super-new, but perfectly clean and fine. Only stayed there one night; nothing bad to say about the hotel itself.
- If you want to visit many of the major tourist sites, then it might be better to stay somewhere close to central (downtown) Seoul. The Coatel Chereville is a good choice for travelers who want a nice, clean room in a Kangnam location.
Because it's just a few minutes from Kangam Station, it is within walking distance of hundreds of restaurants, cafes, etc. Yet, it happens to be in a fairly quiet and peaceful neighboorhood.
Plus, it's just a short taxi ride from the Express Bus Terminal (for those who might want to take a bus to another city in Korea)
Overall, very good value for the money.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Not very close to the major tourist attractions, but it is quite close to many of the more trendy and popular entertainment districts of Seoul.

Very convinent, located in the most popular area Gangnan. Near the subway station. What i like most, big room with kitchen. Bigger than most hotel i lived in Seoul. I like it for what you pay for. Good location, clean, great staff, spacious and comfortable This is the second time I stayed here. The room was clean, comfortable and spacious. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was well equipped with toiletries and towels.
The staff were as helpful as ever and spoke good English.

The hotel have a very very good location. Also, the staff is very helpful and always try to fix anything. The rooms are very big. The hotel is very dificult to find because is not in a main street, is 2 blocks down. Also, maybe need a little renovation. We went to korea on sept 18, The hotel was alost perfect. The price, very cheap and the room very big. One double bed and one single in the same room, perfect for family.
In another way, the hotel is really near of night life entertaiment in korea. Walking for no more than 5 mins you can find a lot of restaurants and night life every day of the week.
A problem is that if your intention is go to visit historic places and sleep in the night, maybe this hotel is not for you. This hotel is in downtown.

Spaciouse and very clean room, King size bed with the perfect pillow and matress, fully equipped, even a washing machine and powder in the service balcony, In room internet, Minimarket at the lobby level. No Wirless. Don't forget to bring your owne LAN cable. Situated in Gangnam area, the hotel is just about 5 min. walk from the Incheon Int. airport bus and 10 min. walk from the Gangnam underground station. Very friendly and helpful staff, just like all the Korean people I had the pleasure to meet. Didn't used the hotel restaurant but the minimarket near the lobby is just great if you want to grab something in between the meals and near the hotel there's some nice eateries from all sorts, including such authentics that servs the locals. I would recomend this hotel to any of my friends and surly be happy to return next time.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Because Seoul is so large spanning city, you may find yourself in "the center" within 10-15 min. walk, even if in the maps you are about 30 min. of underground travel from downtown Seoul. A real bustling capital! allow 3-4 days to get knowing Seoul.

Free internet and lots of TV channels Shower water goes from cold to hot all the time, I have a hard time taking a shower. Old heating system. I booked this place for 3 days, good not bad however the shower really suck. The water goes from boiling hot to ice cold. The room is huge even for the non deluxe and the views are great if you live higher up. Location is nice, no need to take a taxi they'll just drive you around and around. Take the Airport bus and get off at Gangnam station , take exit 2 and walk 1 block down on your right you will see family mart take a right in there walk 1 more block and its on your left. Good hotel I would recommend it.
Travel tip : Bring your own plug converter hotel charges 10,000 won roughly 10 dollars deposit to lend you one

adquate number of elevators(fast in speed too).very nice korean restaurant/bar in the same building. free breakfast will be a plus.
not enough kitchenette items. I have been to a lot of residence-inn type hotels in Korea and want to rate Coatel "Superb."
For the price, the room was very spacious and clean.
I called the front desk several times when I first checked in for questions such as setting up the wireless computer access and AC temperature setting, and each time staff came to my room and showed me how to do. Two thumbs up for the friendly service..
Free wireless service, free parking, Sauna and fitness center was not free though. Even though it had a kitchenette, it would've been impossible if I wanted to cook. But a convenience store in the first floor and many stores/restaurants right outside.. I strongly recommend this hotel.
Restaurant Tip : On the first floor, there is a restaurant called Bon Piyang. Try their dumpling, its sooooo awesome.

Sheets and Towel pretty used Had a great time at Coatel. It is the second time we stayed there and think we will use them every time we visit Seoul.
Staff is really friend and helpful.
Internet is available in the room but by LAN cable only (no wireless).
Hotel is located south of Gangnam Station on a parallel road with make the room very quiet. Also it is at close proximity from the big shopping road North of Gangnam station.
There is a multitude of restaurants located around the hotel (fast-food and western style restaurants on the main road but primarily loads of Korean barbecues, sea-food restaurants and bars on the parallel streets).
Very easy to go by bus to City center (1005-1 and 1005-2) and to the airport (9006 or 9020).
Bad part are that sheets and towels are often very used (need a change) and don't clean the rooms on sundays.
Shopping Tip : North of Gangnam Road is full of shops (clothes, beauty, snacks amd food). Great shopping experience.

Not easy to find for first time visitor
Bathroom fixtures a little bit dated
I stayed at the Coatel Hotel in late July 2009 for 1 week, and felt I received good value for money for my stay. The room had nice complimentary amenities -- hi-speed internet, bottled water, washer with detergent and overall was more comfortable than some of the 4 star hotels in which I've stayed in Seoul. Only downside is that the hotel is not very well known within Seoul so I had to show a Korean address + map to the taxi driver to help him find it.

Good location, excellent facilities, clean, spacious and helpful staff! The hotel is in a great location for Gangnam and all of the shops and bars. It's a simple walk from the Gangnam tube stop td looo. The room itself was spacious and clean. There was air conditioning, towels, toiletries and Cable TV with a good selection of English channels. The staff were helpful and spoke good English. Would stay here again.

great location, very clean, very friendly, clos to train station and bus the people at the front desk were very friendly. They had to let me in the business room many many times but they didnt complain and were friendly. The location of the hotel was great! I was able to reach my destinations very easily. The train station gangnam station is verrrryy close walking distance. There were also a lot of restaurants around so i didnt have to go far to get my food. There is a pretty big market close by so i didnt have to get on the taxi.
Restaurant Tip : a lot of restaurants near the trainstation enterance 6&7
