Nice place but a little far out of the main city
The manager was very sweet, the room was clean and it was close to the metro.

A really nice place but a few things that let it down. Mainly that it's quite far out of the city attractions. It is close to the metro station but still takes a while to get anywhere. The manager was very nice and he explained how to use the facilities in detail but nothing really worked as it should. For example, the fridge didn't work at all, the room became stiflingly hot even when we turned the heating right down and the shower gave out blasts of either burning hot or ice cold water. A few nice touches like you're name being on the door when you arrive and his business card with a 100 Wong coin on it so you can always call him - would have preferred a warm shower though.

Unnexpectedly great.
The service, having access to a full kitchen and washing machine in my room, and being a very short distance the main subway line and airport bus.

This is a hotel that falls into that, 'amazing in all the ways that go unnoticed by forms'. Several aspects, particularly the staff service went above a '10' rating, especially considering the price range. After all, where am I supposed to mark 'gave access to a phone for international calls for free'. The hotel is clearly designed to be affordable with everything you need to be comfortable. A full kitchen, a washer for clothes, a small dining room, and a pc with skype and internet on it.
When I arrived, I did not see the hotel from my bus stop, but the owner had given me his number so I could call him for help. He proceeded to personally drive to the stop to take me to it. When I departed, someone walked me to the airport bus even though he was in the middle of something when I was leaving. I really could go on with the level of service.
To sum it up though, if you expect a ritzy high dollar look to the building, you won't see that. If you want somewhere clean, with a spacious room and a hotel staff that is genuinely concerned with you comfort during your stay, you won't find a better hotel. If you want more evidence, you can just read the wall that is covered in thank you letters in multiple languages written personally to the owner from past customers.

Very nice large clean room with washing machine, kitchenette, microwave etc. Have wifi and desktop computer with LAN.
Staff speaks English very well, he recommended me the shopping places around the area and offered me a ride to the Airport at very low price (I missed the airport bus).
Airport bus 6003 stops 3min from the hotel (You have to walk backwards from the stop and turn left uphill, you should see the hotel building).
About 5min walk to Guro Metro station. Location is not central Seoul, but can easily reach by Metro, personally I had no problem with 20-30min ride to central Seoul.
It is very good value for money.

I love my stay in this hotel. It is very close to the subway station. The room is now and nice. When I goto the place, they put a big sign with my name on it to welcome me. Then staff led me to my room and gave me a drink for free. Inside the room there are free coffee package, face masks and stuffs. It is much nicer than other so called 3 stars hotel. I am sure to stay there agin if I have a chance.

the room was great given its price. has everything you need in a residence type of a hotel.
service was great by the owner and the managers on site.
they welcome you warmly and even print out welcome notice by the front entrance and on your room door.
the food downstairs, chinese fusion restaurant, Jinzaroo(?) was excellent, probably one of the best of its kind I have tasted.
the only things i was a bit unhappy about was.....
1. only small towels available in the bathroom
2. hot water was not consistent, it would come out for maybe 2 mins then cold water for next 2-3 mins, then hot water for 1 mins, so and so. this was after i left the controller on "hot water use" setting for 20-30 mins.

A Hotel that feels like home
The owner of the hotel Mr. Jang is one of the most hospitable person I have met

The room is the best. It is big and complete with all the essential appliances of a home such as TV, PC, laundry washer, microwave, steamer, electric conductor for cooking, fridge, etc. My hotel room was even more complete than my own condo back home. This place is highly recommended.

AK Plaza is conveniently accessible to Daelim Residence.

probably the best value self contained hotel room i have stayed in for a long time. it was clean, quiet, and well located close to shopping mall and shops, 100m walk to bus stop for airport etc
no big hotel foyer, just simple functionality at great value
the owner personally greets you and very obliging in every way
they have a power adapter for you, big tv, full mini kitchen, computer with wifi also, phone, auto coffee machines (free), large inbuilt fridge, balcony breakfast table, free washing powder, free toiletries, free drinking water etc etc
the owner keeps the rooms spotlessly clean, fresh sheets, all dishes washed ... you really do feel at home ...
the only possible complaint is that the towels are typically korean face washer size .... not easy to get used to when accustomed to giant bath towels by comparison ...
all in all very comfortable and convenient hotel
and the owner is great to deal with ... and speaks quite good english ...
i would stay here any time again as it was great
