Very friendly staff, and small comfortable room
Very clean, front desk staff spoke English, modern and comfortable room.
9.3
The location is very close to the subway station by walking down a short, small, side street (rather than going around the outside on the main streets). But it's quite a long walk through the actual station to get down to where the trains are.
The staff all appeared very professional, and there's always someone to greet you at the front desk, which made the hotel feel very welcoming.
I missed not having tea/coffee making facillities in the room, but there is a mini fridge with 2 free bottles of water and chocolates.
The room was quite small, but very clean and comfortable, and perfectly fine for spending the night.
The breakfast was pretty good, and included in the price of the room (at the time of our stay).
Hotel Feature Tip:
The quickest way to the hotel from the subway is through a small side street lined with trophy shops etc. It felt safe enough, but it's probably best to go the slightly longer route to the hotel along the main street at night if you're alone.

Convenience, clean and friendly
Modern exterior and interior.
9.3
Quite a distance walk from subway station to the hotel, but still considered convenience. There're love motels in the neighborhood but it wasn't that much scary. I am a woman traveling alone and still think it is safe enough. It takes you only 1 or 2 subway stations to key destinations like; Gyeongbokgung palace, Unhyeongung palace, Insadong art street, Ssamziegil, Samcheongdong gil, Meyongdong. Staff speaks english fluently. They are friendly and always willing to help. Though the room is small, but considering other factors, it is quite a good deal.

Good location and service
Location, service, cleanliness
9.3
The hotel is near the airport bus and subway (Jongno 3-ga) and 10-min walk to Myeongdong (shopping district). Many restaurants and convenience stores nearby. The staff speaks English and is friendly. Free wired Internet in room and free wifi but only in lobby. Room was small but fine. Breakfast was included and good.

Big smile, worth paying, very clean.
Location, easy access to subway

Good location but slightly hidden, easy access to subway, very friendly staff, very clean eventhough the room is small. I sure will recommend to my friends.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
You won't see Korea if you don't visit traditional village. Nami Island in winter, spring and fall is the best time for photographer but please keep update with local to catch the perfect time.

Good location. great service. small but clean room
8.7
Very close to metro train station. Also about 5-10 minutes walk to Insadong. The hotel is located inside the alleys. Female traveller may find it a little intimidating when walking down the alleys late at night alone. Very nice and helpful staff. Staff can speak English.
Room is quite small but otherwise very clean and all the necessary amenities is provided.
Overall, I would recommend this hotel.

Nothing to complain about
Great staff, excellent location, rooms are comfortable and aesthetically pleasing, computer/internet available for use, laundry services available, decent complementary breakfast

a great hotel, located very close to a subway station serviced by 3 local lines. staff are very hospitable and look after you well. rooms are basic but very comfortable. rooms have internet connection but there is also a business centre where computers are available for use. self service laundry facilities are available for a small cost. small touches like bottled water and chocolates in rooms are nice.

Great hotel with smallish rooms
Great location, friendly staff, clean rooms, free wired internet
8.7
The Doulos hotel is very conveniently located in downtown Seoul. It's a 5 minute walk to the nearest subway station, and is within walking distance of quite a few downtown attractions. The staff is friendly and can speak English fairly well. There is free wired internet in the rooms, and wifi in the lobby. The rooms are clean and quite comfy. The hotel also gives a thank you gift of a small box of chocolates; nothing extravagant, but it's a nice touch.
On the whole, would stay here again; the central location and the friendliness of the staff more than outweighs the cons.
