The room we got wasn't exactly 5 star level. I have stayed at this hotel several times and there is a reason we come back to this hotel.
First of all we live in Seoul but every once in a while when we feel the need to just go some where to relax for few days we always goback to the Grand Hyatt Seoul. We always reserve club floor which gives us access to their lounge all day long for drinks and food. Best part of staying at this hotel has to 360 degrees of unobstructed view of Seoul. Staff at this hotel are courteous are more than willing to help. If you stay here go try the Terrace restaurent for buffett dinner.
One thing for sure like all other high end hotels they are about milikng you for everything you got so check before you use any of their service.
Finally I got an excellent rate by booking through Agoda. The daily rate was definately cheaper than booking through Hyatt website.
Have fun and just relax and enjoyed the view.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : You're in middle of Seoul so you can go sight seeing or shopping all within 10 ~ 20 minutes.

**Excellent customer service.
*Convenient shuttle bus to the central shopping area.
*Good entertainment facilities.
*Room lacked 5 star facilities and quality. More like an average 3 star hotel.
*The room did not have all the facilities we paid for. The Grand Hyatt hotel has some very advantageous features such as a great entertainment lounge, great views and a convenient shuttle bus service to the main shopping areas. The customer service is also very good with bilingual staff. However, the actual room was not of 5 star standard, more like 3 star standard. It was quite small and lacked any outstanding features to make it worth the extra money. We also paid extra for our view and bathrobes; however the staff had failed to provide them. Our general opinion; good entertainment facilities but rooms lacked the 5 star hotel qualities.
Hotel Feature Tip : Use the shuttle bus to transport you directly the main shopping area from the hotel. You can also catch the shuttle bus to the hotel from nearby Itaewon underground/subway station.

Great location, nicve rooms and views Service is just off the mark Lovely hotel and position. Mountain view room is superb in the autumn when leaves are starting to change color. Rooms are very nice, well equipped and good bathroom and shower. Extra marks for having a shower head high enough that means us 190cm folks dont have to stoop to get our hair wet.
Restaurants and entertainment are nice, Japanese restaurant very expensive but then this is a 5 star hotel.
Itaewon for shopping and whatever else takes your fancy is a mere 10 minutes downhill walk away.
Hotel perhaps needs to brush up its concierge staff... asked where a good Japanese seafood restaurant was outside the hotel, they struggled with this frequently insistsing that the one in house was excellent.. eventually said "oh just go down town"... bit casual for a 5 star hotel
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : There is a great walk to North towere and back... leave 1 hour before sunset if your a fast walker... its sign posted in park opposite hotel.. the sunset is brillaint from North Tower
