The hotel is located near the subway and the hotel staff are friendly and able to speak some english. However, there weren't much food choices around the hotel. The room was quite small and cosy but its clean and comfortable.

Took me awhile to get to the hotel from the train station, as it is location in one of the small alley.
However, once you get there you will have no issue for the next few days to walk from the train station as its just 5-7mins walk.

Hotel is located 5-mins walk (8-10 minutes with luggage) away from Jongno-3-ga subway station Line 1 Exit 14/15. It is in a great location as you can also transfer to Lines 3 and 5 of the Seoul subway at Jongno-3-ga, and it is only 3 stops away from Seoul Station. However, if you are going there before October 2013, consider that there is currently no escalator and only staircase from the subway station up into the streets, the escalator is under construction and will only be ready in Oct/Nov 2013.
Room was well-cleaned and well-maintained, and the toilet had free shampoo and shower gel, and towels, face-towels that were changed everyday. We stayed in an Executive room that came equipped with a jacuzzi, which was wonder to soak in after a long day out. Hotel breakfast was simple - toast, instant noodles, cereal with milk, coffee/tea/orange juice, oranges and bananas for fruits - but it was enough as a simple breakfast for us. If you are looking for other breakfast options, there are plenty on the other side of the main street to the left of the hotel. Hotel staff have a reasonable command of English, although they don't speak it very well, and they were always friendly and helpful whenever we required assistance. Overall, an enjoyable experience staying at GS Hotel.
