Bare Basics
Close to business center and many restaurants. Ease of transportation via subway and taxi.

I have stayed in this hotel twice before but the rates are up over 30 % in last two years.
Staff is friendly but unwilling to provide courteous services common in other small "business hotels" in Korea.
There are better options now on Aggoda.

a hidden gem in the inner city

i had difficulty locating the hotel, but it was worth it. it was clean and had all of the amenities in the room including slippers. the staff was friendly and spoke english. the breakfast was good (eggs with shredded cabbage, milk,juice,tea,toast) and the cook was very nice too. i went there in jan.13 and it was freezing and windy in seoul. there was a kettle in the room to make a nice cup of hot tea (provided), and the shower was hot.
the hotel was close to everything, and i was able to walk to all of the sights that i wanted to see in the 2 days that i had there. it was a short walk to the bus stop, and there was shopping on the way for anything one needed. also, good food close by for dinner.
Restaurant Tip:
Pomato restaurant was a short walk down the hill, and had good food for a low price. They did not speak English, but we pointed to what we wanted, and it was fresh and good tasting.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Hill House and would recommend it to others. Because others had mentioned it being hard to find, I took care to know where I was going and that was helpful. Everything worked, and was clean.

It's quite easy to find this hotel, stuff lovely to help customer, such as help customer to Send postcard, help us to call taxi, when we are go out the hotel, we need to pass the key to reception, it can reduce the opportunity to lost the key.

this is my second time staying in the hotel. this time i tried the breakfast provided by the hotel. although it is just a simple breakfast of bread, jam and eggs, it was a good start for the day. we could smell the eggs from the hotel room. my daughter loved the smell. it is close to many eating places. we had korean bbq near the hotel and my 7 year old daughter loved it. if you walk towards namdaemon, there is a shop selling clam noodle soup. it is delicious and cheap. value for money.

This is my second time staying in the hotel. I loved the walk back to the hotel. If you are going there for the first time, most taxi drivers would have difficulty finding the hotel. Make sure you have the hotel address in korean. My daughter ran a high fever during our stay. We were able to get Ibufen off the rack in the convenient shop and my daughter recovered with just one dose of the medication. We asked for an extension for checking out since we did not want my daughter to wait in the cold and the hotel allowed us to check out 3 hours later with a charge of W10,0000 an hour.

The room is quite big and all the staff are friendly.
The only a bit problem was taxi is not easy to find the hotel location because the place is not in their GPS maps.
