a hidden gem in the inner city

i had difficulty locating the hotel, but it was worth it. it was clean and had all of the amenities in the room including slippers. the staff was friendly and spoke english. the breakfast was good (eggs with shredded cabbage, milk,juice,tea,toast) and the cook was very nice too. i went there in jan.13 and it was freezing and windy in seoul. there was a kettle in the room to make a nice cup of hot tea (provided), and the shower was hot.
the hotel was close to everything, and i was able to walk to all of the sights that i wanted to see in the 2 days that i had there. it was a short walk to the bus stop, and there was shopping on the way for anything one needed. also, good food close by for dinner.
Restaurant Tip:
Pomato restaurant was a short walk down the hill, and had good food for a low price. They did not speak English, but we pointed to what we wanted, and it was fresh and good tasting.

The staff performance is great. It's very close to the Myeong-dong shopping street(10mins walking time).
Great locations, just 3 mins(walking time) to the Hoehyeon metro station.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Hill House and would recommend it to others. Because others had mentioned it being hard to find, I took care to know where I was going and that was helpful. Everything worked, and was clean.

The hotel was great and although I read it was hard to find, from the Seoul train station getting a taxi was no worries. Also on return, no trouble walking down hill to catch a taxi and they even told me which side of the street to be on. Staff spoke English well and helped making phone calls and finding places on the map for me. I'd stay again.

The hotel was a bit hard to find at first because the signage leading to it was quite vague. However, once you establish a foothold of the area, it is very convenient. It's located right in Myeongdong which has plenty of shopping and restaurants. The metro is a quick 5 minute walk and makes getting around Seoul quite easy. The staff spoke English and was very helpful providing a map and instructions how to get to nearby areas on arrival. The amenities were sufficient, not the most glamorous, but clean and comfortable.

However, the location of the Hotel is quite far away from the train station. We need take 15-20 mins walk to station with luggage. It's quite hard work.

1. Water leakage in air-conditioner, not outside but inside my room. In average about one drop per 3 seconds, dropping from the air-conditioner to ground along wall paper. However, if I turned it off, mosquitoes will be flying all around in my room.

Friendly staff at hotel
the location is good as it situated to various attractions such as Seoul Tower, Myeong-dong, Namdaemun Market etc. Staffs are friendly and fluent in English. The breakfast lady is friendly and funny.

the room is decently big. the toilet and bathroom are connected together and is big too. however it feels like the room is meant for a couple. front desk people are friendly and willing to help. they are located at hoehyeon station exit 1 and you have to walk up a hill to get to the hotel. probably a 5-10mins walk.

Situated near Hoeyeong Station Exit 1. Will require to walk up the hill to the hotel so it is advisable to take a cab if you are with ur luggages.
Hotel front desk is helpful and fluent in english

Room is decently big with big bathroom. The room feels like it is meant for couples.
