love the location and lcd

room is great, have very big lcd. location is also great which is near to namdaemun. can reach most of spot by walking. there are also lots of restaurant nearby. size of room is consider big compare to others nearby. 15 minute walking distance to myeong-dong where there are lots of shop for shopping.

Great location.
Process was simple and fast, bathroom was nice with a tub, room was pretty spacious for 3 people, location was nearby the metro.

We arrived at night and the area felt a bit "sketchy" but we found out later it was nearby bars people go to after work. No one gave us a hard time even as we strolled by after midnight. We would walk into any restaurant after 10pm and the restaurant workers were all very nice to us, especially the elder women. They knew we weren't from around so they helped us cook and mix our Korean foods. It was great.

Small rooms but central location

Located in myeongdong near various sightseeing areas, irene city was a good base to depart from. Hotel itself was clean enough but the rooms were very small and noise control wasnt very good. Staff were helpful.

Good location but small room

clean & modern hotel. just as what the other travellers say, there is no room to spread your luggage bag but its still bearable for us for the price & location of the hotel. i like it that even though the room is small, we still get to enjoy showering in the bathtub, although you can spread your legs totally in the tub, as you can still soak your feet in hot water after a long day of walking & shopping.
there are quite a number of business clubs located along the streets of the hotel, and once it gets past 10pm to the wee hours of the night, you can see the locals going in & out of the clubs, as part of their business socialisation, sometimes helping with their drunk associates. Throughout our 4 nights of stay there, we feel safe walking through the club streets & take it as part of experiencing the local culture.

The hotel was a little difficult to find because it was situated in a small alley, on the 4th floor of a building. The walls are very thin and you hear the noise from adjoining rooms as well as the hallway.
Restaurant Tip:
If you don't speak Korean try the restaurants that allow you to order your own food from a vending machine. It's usually cheap and had pictures of the food available.

we had a standard double room. the room was really small, we did'nt even had enough space for our bags on the floor. no window (it was so hard to wake up every morning!) but the room was very clean and modern with the facitilities you need. nice bathroom. nice and helpfull staff. very close to a bunch of restaurants.

Though Irene City Hotel is featured as in Myeong Dong area in the website， it is actually much closer to Naedanmum with the famous Naedanmum Market just across the street. Hotel lobby is on the first floor of a building which make its image a bit downgraded， but the room facilities are perfect and very clean. Most love the wide choice of TV channels.

Very close to the Namdaemum market, sitting in between two subway station "City Hall" and "Hoeyhen". Siuated in a quaint alley off a very busy street full of restaurants and small bars. Definitely recommend this hotel to business traveller.
