Great location but showing some of its age

Always love staying here because the location is perfect for us. Hotel is starting to show its age though, and it doesn't give repeat guests any benefits at all.

My husband and I stayed in this hotel end of December 2012 (during new year time), I would say the location is really great as the hotel is surrounded by small lovely cafes, clothing boutiques, traditional korean restaurants, pubs, and etc! Those shops normally close around 10pm. This hotel is near to the subway as well, about 5-8 mins walk. The main lobby and the restaurant are lovely and homey, the staffs are polite and understand english quite well. The room is clean, and smell good. However, i was quite disappointed on the rooms settings, as it is way too simple (i feel that it is over priced. Do not have place for extra luggage, minibar fridge is empty, small open wardrobe, and limited socket points. However, the room is very quiet although it is surrounded by shops and cafes.

Hotel has nice decorations, free WIFI thru out the whole hotel,

Location not that preferable as other viewers comment. Sindang Subway is about 15-20mins walk. Food wise is easily to locate. Convenient store is just opposite the hotel.

On the day of my arrival, they gave me a room full of cigarette smell, so I went down to front desk and ask for another room, and they kindly did so. i had a pleasant stay for my holiday!

Small room but has it all!

The hotel is located in Garosoo Gil which is the it place and can access Gangnam, Iteawon area very easily.
Room is rather small and no bathtub. However all you required is provided by hotel (bathroom amenities, internet, iron and etc...)
The minimalistic and organic interior also attractive.

Homely designer boutique hotel

La Casa is a great little boutique hotel. The single rooms are compact but enough for a single person. The airport bus (10000won) stops near the hotel. The nearest subway station is Sinsa which is a 10-15 minute walk away. The hotel is near Garosu-gil. Ask any local and they will tell you that its the street to be see and be seen. Nothing really fantastic shop wise but the vibe is good. The people who roam this area are definitely hip and cool. Apparently, many local korean celebrities shop here.
The downside is that its away from the city centre where most tourist sites area (ie north of the river). The hotel location was ideal for me as its away from the tourist crowd (as I have seen the sites many times before) and I seek a more local feel. The standard of spoken english at the hotel is minimal but enough to get by.

Nice boutique hotel but very little svc provided

stayed for 5 nights with few problems. ac system has been turned off as the temperature starting to drop. but actually when we checked in temp was still at around 22-25 celcius. so as the ac is off the room can only be heated if we were to turn on the ac unit. this makes the room unbelievably warm and stuffy. so we stayed 5 nights with the windows opened! in addition, the staffs speak very little english so it is very hard to communicate. so practically no concierge service. nonetheless, the good things about this hotel is the location and ambiance. it feels homey and very close to many fashion stores and cafes and resto. so i would recommend staying in the summer and to equip yourself with google translator

Stylish Boutique Hotel in hip area
Stylish Interior Design, Small hotel with privacy, Nice and hip area

Lovely hotel which is nothing like big international ones. I like it designer tone especially they have a lovely lobby, with stylish designer furniture. The room is a little bit small which is ok for me and the toilet is very chic too. The breakfast is ok and my favorite is the walnut cake, the food is half western and half korean. I am glad that it located between apgujeoung and sinsadong station, there is garosugil road in between which is famous for designer shop and cafe.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
SamChung Dong is definitely my next stop in seoul, shame that I cant spend much time there. There are a lot of gallery and coffee shop, it would be very nice to have a relaxing afternoon there . It could be quite romantic for couples.
