Best boutique hotel I have stayed with so far
Unique rooms, friendly staff, bathroom
8.3
I loved this hotel. Each room had a different theme and name. Unfortunately I didn't know that you could request a specific room and was put into one that I was a bit uncomfortable in. But the experience was great all the same. The large bathtub and rainforest shower was exactly what I needed. The ready available laptop and wifi was a great plus. I would definitely stay here again!

Interestingly Designed Hotel by The Designers
Good Location with Easy Access to public transport, Very Attentive and Helpful Staff, Quiet Environment
8.3
Nestled between Samseong and Seolleung Metro Station, The Designers is a small, unassuming hotel on first glance. Hidden in the back alley of Teheran-Ro and directly behind Apple Tower, this quaint little hotel deserves mention for it uniqueness.
The rooms are themed with the one I was housed in being forest-themed, complete with real tree as part of the deco. The rooms are small, which are to be expected in Seoul, but the tasteful and smart use of space does not make it feel claustrophobic.
The staff speak Korean accented American English were very helpful, allowing us to check in way earlier than usual so that my pregnant wife could rest after our flight. The whole hotel has free wifi, with complementary laptop use in the room for those who forgot to bring their own.
Food is not an issue as there is an abundance of small restaurants scattered around the area serving anything from local Korean fare to Chinese and Japanese cuisine to Western burgers.
Being 10 minutes walk away from CALT made leaving for Incheon Airport a very hassle and stress-free check in.
I will definitely come back to this hotel again if I'm in Seoul

Artsy, comfy stay in the Coex area
Comfort, cleanliness and quiet
9
What I love and appreciate about the hotel is that no two rooms are the same. It is quirky, cool, but yet comfort is never compromised.
I was in 803 and it had a bathtub/jacuzzi, so while that ate space, it was a refreshing change to soak in the tub (most smaller hotels don't have a tub cos the rooms are too small).
It's comfortable, clean, and for internet junkies, you'll do fine. There was even a laptop provided in the room ... really nice touch there.
Just note, though, that the hotel is in between two stations (approx 10 mins walk each way). The station you go to depends on where you are travelling to.
Do note that travelling to usual tourist areas like Hongdae and Gwanghamun will take you quite awhile, so I would recommend that you stay here only if you (a) don't mind travelling (b) want to hit Coex, go to Jamsil, hang around Apgujeong (my favourite area), Garousil etc or (c) want to do something completely different from most tourists.

it was a funky boutique hotel.
location, good room size, remote controlled everything.
4.3
the design and layout takes getting used to. i hated the bathroom that is always wet after shower. you walk into the shower to the toilet. i liked the room for being totally dark with window shut.
