Staff speaks English. Provided free breakfast for one day, very basic but still a free meal and helped us save some bucks. Rooms are neat and tidy. Got 7-Eleven right underneath so it's easy to grab a snack or daily necessities. Rather close to subway stations (about 5 to 7 minutes walk, hard to find at first but soon figured them out). Close to Dongdaemun (within 10 min walk). Nice view (from my room at least, can see the park in front, Namsan Tower, and some other buildings). Pretty quiet in the room, no noise from next door. No charge for internet (though there is a card in the room, saying how much per hour/day/week); we learned that it's free when we checked out. Minimal charge for using the phone in the room for local calls. Got washing machine (in Korean though, we had to spend some time looking the words up in dictionary plus guessing). Maps provided in the lobby (very useful). Housekeeping staff is friendly as well. They supply the converter so that I could charge my computer, cellphone, camera, etc. The room is smaller than I expected and the building is older/worn out than I thought, can see water marks on the walls in the hallway. The building is hidden within smaller streets, took us a few days to figure out the shortcuts to the main roads; need to be careful (or we just felt the need to be careful) when going back at night because the streets are dark and empty. No restaurants within the block, have to walk out to Dongdaemun or Chungmuro. We stayed at a triple room but sheets and pillow were not provided for the third bed (sofabed) when we arrived; however once we talked to the front desk they quickly put them in the room. Not a lot of bathroom supplies, cooking utensils (other than a kettle and cups) need to be rented, such as toaster, pans and microwave. The place is not as fancy as I thought, but we got used to it and it actually feel like home more than a nice hotel. It feels good to go back there, where we can wash our clothes, brew some tea, go online and keep in touch with family and friends. If you're not looking for luxury but just a clean and comfortable place, Hyundai Residence is good enough, and the price is reasonable.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Dongdaemun (lots of shopping and food), Chungmuro (food, pet stores)

major attractions close by, also a 7-11 just below, staff speaks english and are very helpful hotel is really hard to find even with a local taxi driver equipped with a GPRS system. streets around the hotel gets abit scary, not recommended for travelers traveling alone the room is neat and clean and has sufficient equipments that are needed. The staff is very helpful and has good command in english. Although breakfast is being offered but it closes at 9:30am. which is pretty early. overall i'm satisfied with my stay.

Breakfast: not yummy, less variety This hotel is nice enough to stay not all day (just for sleeping only). Room is nice, clean and full of facilities (except towel and toiletree). Staff are helpful and we can see the intention to help tourist as much as posiible (although language might be a problem). The location is not too bad. feel a bit far when ur tired or u already walked all day). Anyway, it's close 2 two convenient train station. Also, it's in the herat of shopping arcade and clubbing at nite, so taking a cab is not costly to use. However, breakfast is not good (maybe i dun like it). So, if i recommend, just book aroom without breakfast and u find something to eat by yrself from local korean restaurant ard there. I found one is so yummy. just walk a bit from the hotel. The owner is nice and have menu with picture. Well, another convenient thing about this hotel is 7-eleven at downstair and another convenient store next to it. We can buy anything we lack both in general and emergency case (like raining). That's all.
Travel tip : 1. Euliji 4(sa)-ga station was the one i took the train more often than Dongdaemoon stadium
2. If u get off the train at Dongdaemoon stadium and wanna walk to the hotel at the exit no. 6, please do not do. it's so far!! (Dongdaemoon stadium is good to walk from Exit No.6 to Train line 4 and 5, not line 2)
3. Taxi can be another transportation you can choose becuase the hotel is like at the heart of shopping destination and clubbing, so it is not costly to take a cab to Myeoung Dong and Dongdaemoun as well as Itaewon
