friendly helpful staff, location, clean, hot water

We spent four nights at the Hyundai Residence Hotel in the heart of Seoul. It was within walking distance of a very clean, efficient subway system. The staff spoke English and were very helpful giving us directions and suggestions for tours and restaurants. We felt safe and comfortable. The rooms were clean and we had plenty of hot water to shower. We would recommend this place and stay here again if visiting Seoul.
Restaurant Tip : Lots of bar b q chicken restaurants close to the Chungmoro subway station.

- Great Location.
- Nice and comfortable room. I went with my friend and my mom so they arrange this sofa bed for us and its is very comfortable just like the big bed.
- The stuff is very nice and helpful (except for the lady who wear glasses in the night shift)
- There is 7eleven right beside the lobby so it very convenience to buy stuff 24 hour.
- There is this seafood and ingredient market right the opposite of the hotel so you can buy some stuff there too.
- It take sometime to walk to the nearest station. For me it's pretty okie but if you have old adult with you going around places by taxi would be a better choice (it doesn't cost more than 4000-5000 w to go to Dongdaemun or Myeongdong from our hotel)
- Taxi driver don't really know the hotel so its better to carry a map and tell them to go to "Jungbu ChiJang (Jungbu Market)"
I personally like the hotel very much. I think it is very convenience and comfortable staying there. I just take a few minute walk to get to the Chungmuro station and yeah it is easy to go anywhere in Seoul from there. You can also take a walk to Dongdaemun if you are fit enough it doesn't take that long from the hotel. Also you can easily call a taxi from there and the cost is very cheap (if you go like 3-4 person it really worst it). Almost all of the stuff is very nice and helpful, if you have any problem about calling the taxi or going to places they are willing to help. For those who wanna get a taxi from Incheon Airport to the hotel the cost is around 80,000-90,000 w. so if you have a lot of luggage and have really old adult with you it kind of worth it.
so all together considering the price with the quality i got i enjoy staying in Hyundai Residence and will probably visit there again.
Shopping Tip : - Dongdaemun and Myeongdong is really close to the hotel so dun worry you can shop till you drop if you go there.
- For the girl who love to shop clothing and accessories, you should not miss the Ewha Woman University~ nice and cheap there!
- If you wanna try korean seafood dishes, on the way to Chungmuro Station from the hotel there are many great seafood restaurant because it is a seafood road.
- I love one of the kimpup restaurant on the way to chungmuro station. The shop is right the opposite of KFC. You should try the cheese kimpup it is very nice!

Staff are very friendly and helpful with a good command of English.
Info about hotel should immediately explain that kitchenwares and microwave are separately charged daily rates.
The subway system can bring you almost everywhere. It is only about 8 minutes walk from the hotel. The hotel is closer to Dongdaemun (10 min walk) than to Myongdong 30 min walk). Dried goods market for seaweeds, dried fish and similar stuff is just across the main road.
We leave with a good impression on how friendly and helpful Koreans are.
