- only short walk to subway + COEX;
- excellent value for money;
- quality stay;
- new, clean and convenient;
- effective and efficient staff;
- pleasant and cheap korean hot bath/SPA in the basement;
- convenience stores and some fine restaurants around;
- 10 min walk to subway station depending on you like to walk;
- rooms on the small side - fair enough as you mainly hang around outside in Seoul!
- nothing special about the design - decoration (100% IBIS standard), but not a boutique hotel either;
This is definitely an excellent option in the South of Seoul if you do not want to spend too much money on your accommodation. If you are familiar with the IBIS mid-level chain of hotels (part of the French Accor Group), you will not be disappointed by your stay. Quality stay as it meets all the IBIS standards with a plus. Stayed in the past at the COEX/Gangnam Park Hyatt which an amazing and excellent 'boutique' hotel with the biggest room in Seoul. However, as you don't spend much time in a hotel in Seoul, for 1/4 of the Park Hyatt you get an excellent stay in Seoul.
Definitely a good option if you want to spend more money on the food, shopping and entertainment and don't mind being in the South business district away for the historical part of Seoul. The other IBIS option is in Myeondong right next to the pedestrian streets.
Hotel Feature Tip : Try the Korean hotbath in the basement. Discount price at KRW 5,000. The men section is much better and bigger than the women section (only one bath).

good location for whom who want to visit coex center.
Policy to not allow early check in even room is available unless guest have to pay 50% surcharge.
The room is very small, not suitable for two people to stay together
This is good hotel for business man.Especially the one who want to visit Coex center.Room and surounding of hotel is safe and clean.
Wireless and lan internet is quite useful.Hotel have enough nescesary facilities for short term saty. But walking distance from hotel to underground train station is bit far. If you wnat to visit old city then it takes time for travelling.
Travel tip : Many resturant available nearby hotel either Korean or Chinese or Japanese. If you walk to coex center then there you can find everthing you want.

Clean. Efficient. Great spa and workout room. Good location in business area.
Not a good location for tourist sites. No air conditioning.
We made a mistake and accidentally booked the Ibis SEOUL instead of the Ibis Meyong-dong. The Meyong-dong hotel has an excellent location for the tourist sites. The Seoul location is south of the river and is in more the international business location. It was clean and friendly and efficient.
