Conveniently next to a subway, famous shopping streets and lots of nice eateries

we had a great stay at this very convenient location. the hotel is next to the buzzing shopping streets with lots of eateries and late night shoppings. i think it's value for money. also, there is free internet in the room...awesome!
Restaurant Tip:
There is a 24hour noodle/dumpling specialty local shop just behind the hotel which makes for convenient quick snack if you check in late.

Nandemon and myondong is the walking distance, and two subway stations are nesr too. It was very cold morning when arrived the hotel, but the service of the information desk in the 1st floor was warm.

excellent location, the hotel located in myeong dong which is really closed to the shops. rail way station is just right in front of the hotel as well as the airport bus station. the hotel staffs are really helpful. we arrived in early morning and required an early check in, the staff allowed us to check in 2 hours before the supposed check in time which is really thinkful due to we couldn't get any sleep on the overnight flight. the room is small but good enough for few days of staying. also there was a hot and cold drinking water supply just right in front of our room which is very convenience.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
N seoul tower, remember to bring yr lock there if you are going in couple

I am pretty impressed after reading the reviews on Ibis Myeong-Dong and hence decided to book it.
And just like in the reviews, I only have good stuff to say about this hotel. A lot of Japanese, European travellers stay here as well. I highly recommend staying at Ibis Myeong-Dong! Good value for money!
1) Location (subway, tourists attractions, convenience stores, shopping stores and malls, food, etc all below hotel or within walking distance)
2) Hotel amenities (free hot & cold water & ice dispenser, free in-room internet, free rental of electrical stuff [i.e. dehumidifier], coin laundry [if u wana do your own], free shuttle from airport limo bus stop and vice versa, etc)
Tip: Best to ask for a room with window (automated shutter) as I realised there is no airflow within the room [the hotel blocks usage of air-con during winter]
3) Room and en-suite bathroom (very clean, safebox, coffee/tea making amenities, work table, LCD TV, slippers, etc)
4) Hotel service (multi-lingual staff, pleasant service, etc)

this hotel is very good location to visit seoul and airport shuttle bus can drop you in front of the hotel. moreover the lotte department store is opposite to ibis and you can travel easily to other places in seoul.
if you want to do sightseeing in seoul, ibis also provide you dree shuttle bus to tourist destination near the hotel.

Best location...across Lotte Departmental Store, next to subway station, night market, walking distance to Namdeamun market, Shinsegae Dept Store, plenty of Korean restaurants behind the hotel. Everywhere is within reach by foot! Airport shuttle service stops and pick up right at your doorstep.
Hotel is very clean, room size is ok coz you will not stay in your room much anyway, excellent service from hotel staff in general but especially concierge. We asked for extra pillow and the duty manager came within seconds!!! That was very impressive. Concierge provided excellent information about the where about and knows a lot about the city. This hotel is highly recommended for leisure travelers. I would stay there again if I do visit Seoul again. Thank you
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Night market beside the hotel, you can find a lot of interesting street food, I love the long soft serve ice cream, steamed beancurd skin in hot pepper soup, Korean seafood pancake. Bit expensive but worth trying. It may cost about US$15 for 1 pancake, 1 bimbap & 1 stick of satay. Beancurd skin cost US$10 for 3 sticks! Street food is great :)

Location of the hotel is very convenient for tourists and getting around was easy as the subway was nearby. Access to the reception was a bit of a hassle as it was located on Level 19 but check-in was a breeze and the hotel staff were very friendly.
I liked the hot spa pool on Level 19.
