Affordable, Comfortable, & Close to Insadong St.
I booked a standard roome. It was clean & comfortable. Within walking distance to Insadong shopping street & subway.

This hotel is comfortable enough with internet (a little slow), a computer, & a large flat screen t.v. with an awesome surround sound system, a very comfortable bed, a little couch and table. It is a love hotel, but it's cute and and pretty clean. It was a little bit difficult for the 1st taxi driver to find even with the address in Korean and English, but the second driver found it without a problem. I want to say that the closest Subway is Jongno-3 (intersection of the 3 lines)exit #5. You can walk to insadong st. in about 10 min. from the hotel. The guy at the hotel printed out a map on how to get to insadong st.. For the $, the comfort ,and convenience, I would suggest staying here.

the hotel is convienently located for sightseeing and shopping and the room was surprisingly big and well equipped. on the other hand is the hotel now in a very good condition and the cleaning staff is definitely not doing a very thorough job. families definitely should not stay here!

Great room but idiotic service

There isn't really anything special to say about the hotel. It was quite standard and what you would expect from a love motel (if you've ever stayed in one in Korea) and the price was right for my time in Seoul. So, if you're looking for a cheap stay with the standard set up (bed, shower, tv, wi-fi and drinks in the fridge) than stay here.
However, there were several things that I really didn't like. The first being the need to check my hotel key at the counter when going out to shop or eat. I've never stayed at a place that made me do this, hotels and love motels included, and it made me a bit nervous. So, the day that I was going to be out for a while, I made the smart decision of taking all my valuable belongings with me. I say the smart decision, because when I came back the staff had this flabbergasted look on their face like I wasn't supposed to be there. Or that they had thought that by paying for two nights, I somehow meant, "I'll pay you for two days, but only use the one. Just keep the change." They had given my room to some one else. They talked to themselves in Korean and slyly handed me another room number (the room next door) as if I wouldn't notice that it wasn't my key. When I came back down and said, "Um...yea, I want my room key." They tried to explain to me that since I had left any luggage in the room, they had thought it alright to give my room to someone else. Luckily, as I said, I took all my stuff with me in my backpack (which is all I had) and didn't leave anything valuable there (except a charger, toiletries and some other thing which were long gone).
So, if you plan to stay here, just be mindful that the staff is used to having a high turn over rate as far as clients. Anything over 1 night isn't standard and if you plan to stay for more, stress this to the staff.

the building was old and tired, the carpet stained and paint not good. the room was up stairs beyond the elevator and the stairs were cluttered with linen, cans of drink etc, a potential hazard. however the room was kept clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Restaurant Tip:
Cross Jongno road from the hotel to a street of "1000" restaurants
