M Chereville Residence, Seoul

We came to Seoul to visit our daughter who is teaching English for a year and stayed in Gangnam so she could walk to the hotel. This was the closest hotel and was reasonably priced. Because of some of the negative reviews online, we only booked it for 2 nights and had a reservation elsewhere for the rest of our stay. We liked the M Chereville so much that we cancelled the other reservation and extended our stay there. The location is great if you like to walk to stores and restaurants. It is a couple of minutes walk from a suway station that can take you most anywhere. Breakfast was included and we found enough to fill us. But don't expect a usual Western breakfast. It is residential apartments and not a hotel. It fit our needs, but has no room service, restaurant of other things a hotel might have.

close to Metro, Samsung Office Bldg. Big room, fast & free internet access. A lot of restaurants nearby. In one word - convenient ^^ However, I prefer Ramada Seoul =( ^^

We were traveling in Korea, staying a several different hotels in Seoul and in Gyeongju. The first place we stayed in Seoul, was a total disappointment. The location, price and size (traveling with 4 people). M Chereville was in the central location of Gangnam, with restaurants and shops galore, all within walking distance. There is a batting cage across the street. The unit we stayed was two bedroom, including a full kitchen and a small washing machine. The next time we come back to Seoul, we will definitely stay in M Chereville again.

I stayed in 2 bedroom deluxe room for 10 days. For the price, the room was very spacious. I didn't like the cleaning crew; I thought the room, specially the bathrooms, could've been cleaner. Its elevators had to go; very, very slow. TOO SLOW and there's only 2 for the whole building of 25th floors.. Washing machine working ok, but it was supposed to work as a dryer too, but didn't work at all. Just waste my precious time trying for a couple of times. Hope they say in advance it won't do much. Free parking and free breakfast a plus point. Very close(only like 3 minutes) to the subway. Two thumbs up for that.

Great location and good service for the most part. The gym is tiny and pretty much useless. Rooms are good size and living room also. The only thing that really killed it was the cigarette smell in the rooms. We stayed there for 10 days and the smell will still not go away. Otherwise I would pretty much recommend it to anyone. I think there is also poor ventilation since some time the smoking smell would get stronger. Could use some more dishes and utensil too. They do not provide any utensils which is confusing since they give you dishes.

The hotel is in a great location for Gangnam and all of the shops and bars. It's a simple walk from the Gangnam tube stop too. The room itself was spacious and clean. There was air conditioning, towels, toiletries and Cable TV with a good selection of English channels. The staff were helpful and spoke good English. I would stay here again.

The M Chereville was extremey disappointing. Upon arrival you have to locate the reception desk which is usually when you walk into a building. But sadly to say it's on the 5th floor here. The last thing you want after a lenghthy flight is to wait almost 10 minutes on an elevator to check in. After receiving my key (not a keycard) I had to wait another 10-15 minutes on two elevators that service over 22 floors (including housekeeping)! Finally I unlock my room door after fumbling with the key (no keycard). I go inside and just want to walk right back out! It's not welcoming at all. NO Pictures. Barely any dishes and silverware, no internet access, and a phone that you must stand to speak on because it doesn't reach to anywhere! I had to request someone come up to my room to connect my internet. Oh and breakfast is a waste of time. They advertise a western breakfast, but it only accomodates Asians. I booked this hotel for two days. If I could've cancelled when I walked in I would've. I'll never return and never recommend this hotel to any of my friends.

We really liked the excitement and vibrancy of the Gangnam area and this hotel is ideally located to take advantage of this.

Room is spacious with a cheap price Wari was clean. Using the Internet for free, and good transportation access, the business was good. Japanese people also use one of the staff was very friendly. Buy a souvenir shop is very close to rid it was necessary to take a taxi.

Our room in this residence hotel, was complemented by a lounge, a kitchen and a washing machine. The set is simple but comfortable, well equipped and spacious (80 m²). The breakfast buffet offers a good selection of Korean and international dishes. Good location in a pleasantly lively day and evening (restaurants and cafes / bars close range).
