The location is the best. It is near to the subway and only 3 stops next to Dongdaemun. The room is rather old and needs renovation. Although this is not my first time in Seoul but it is the first time that I stayed in Boolim Hotel where I found that the location is really great, very near to the subway. It's very convenient to access to the hotel through airport shuttle bus no.6002 and get off at the last stop (Cheongnyangni). I found Lotte Department Store is next door including convenient stores (opposite the hotel), Daiso, popular cosmetics stores, restaurants, coffee shops, and much more. The staff can speak English well with smiling faces and tried hard to help in any questions. There is also free internet available at the lobby. I and my husband were very happy staying here for our New Year.
Shopping Tip : The hotel is very close to Lotte Department Store where you can have dinner in the food court, buying snack, do the shopping with special discount prices. Much more shopping can be done around the hotel (both cheap and high prices).

price, service, room size. the hotel is really near the red light district in korea and hence i would advise the families with children to not really think about staying here. we normally reach back at around 3am each night and there'll be these old aunties that will come up to us and pimp us some girls and all so as mentioned, do think twice if ure a family staying here.
but the room size is huge and they upgraded us to a room with an attached pc. so that was cool.

Liked the location. Super closse and convienent to downtown. Clean and adequate. Appreciated smoking room. Had hair dryer and large tub. Was awefully hot in 8th floor room. Windows opened just a bit. Was thankful they opened or would not have been able to stay. Was told I could not have coffee in room which was troublesome. Enjoyed the location very much. It was very convienent to metro, bus line, shopping and markets. It was in a red light district however. The room was large enough and had one small bed for my frined. Beds were hard by American standards but adequate. Bathroom had large tub with a seat and shower wand. Room had a hair dryer. Windows opened but only the bottom portion. I was thankful they did because as seems to be the case in Korea, the temperature was kept very warm. Our 8th floor room would have been unbearable without the windows open. Elavator worked fine as did internet in lobby. Was told we could not bring coffee to room which was dissapointing. Appreciated that they offered smoking rooms. Starbucks was right around the corner. Overall, I thought it was a bargain for the price.
Shopping Tip : There is a convienence store acroos the street and a Starbucks around the corner. Metro line within two blocks.

Far away from City Center I have just stayed in this hotel for one night , during my transit - from Busan and hence I am unable to provide adequate information. Rooms are very small - complementary breakfast not good . The location of this hotel is far away from City Center . However, airport shuttle bus stand is very near to this hotel and hence it is very convenient.However, this is the most economy hotel in the city.

Kindly and helpful staffs, near bus stop, subway
This hotel is rather old. But very near Bus stop, Subway, Airport Bus station. Family mart, Lotte Department store.Hotel Staffs are very friendly. They are always kindly help. By the way, about cleanliness have to improve. But cleanness of toilet is okay. My room is rather small. Because there are the big pillar. About electric equipment have only Korean. It's very difficult for used.
Shopping Tip : This hotel is very near Subway. So it's very easy to go to shopping center. (Meong-Dong, Dongdaemun)

two PCs with internet connection in the lobby. Our group occupied two rooms on the 7th and 8th floor. We enjoyed Seoul because travelling in the city was very easy with the country's organized transport system. The hotel was centrally located which made the travel less tiresome. The hotel staff were not so fluent in English but they tried hard to answer our questions and attend to our needs. My companion forgot a few souvenir items inside the Family Mart in front of the hotel and when she called the hotel from the airport, the front desk employee willingly assisted her in sending these items to Manila through mail. My friend just deposited the equivalent fee to the employee's bank account.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : All the major tourist attractions are just a ride away by subway. This saved us a lot of money vis-a-vis getting an organized tour package

Near subway and last stop on airport bus line. Windowless room on outskirts of town. Mistakenly relied on clock on television screen and missed my flight as a result.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Although near the subway, for a little more money I'll stay closer to sites next time.

Very Central - close to the Subway, close to the Markets, close to the Central Bus Terminal, close to the Restaurant area, useful room. Staff did not have a great grasp of the English Language - I was fortunate in that I can write Korean and read Korean but can not speak it that well..... The room was well serviced and clean. The view well - we will forget about that! The Hotel is very central and accessible. While the staff were very friendly and tried to help as much as they could. their limited English skills made it a little difficult. Even the free Internet access had its problems some nights and when such did arise - the staff were challenged to solve any inherent problems - but they did try!
Restaurant Tip : There are many close by - walk across the main road and then venture into the real Korean area.

Rooms are clean and there is a good bathroom. It is very close to a bus depot to get you to and from the airport at reasonable rates. It is also very close to the subway and eating areas. For those who want it, it is in a red light district. There is no breakfast facilities and the staff, though gracious and friendly, speak very little English and can't give you much help. They do not provide money changing facilities. New Boolim Hotel is a product of the 70's. Staff are gracious and friendly but do not provide breakfast or money changing facilities. Their knowledge of the area is very limited. The hotel is extremely close to the subway which is an superb system and to the airport shuttle that will get you from the airport. The rooms are spacious and clean.
Restaurant Tip : Go out to nearby restaurants that are plentiful, cheap and serve good cheap traditional Korean food.
