Although it's a 'boutique' hotel, it also caters for the love hotel market, but that's ok for me as the price was significantly cheaper than business hotels for it's location in the city. Plenty of other western business people were staying here and it was close to the subway, taxis and KAL Limo.
Reception where really friendly, spoke good English and the free coffee was good. Good food options including a western bakery open 24hrs only a stones throw away. The room was comfortable, quiet and had a good desk and strong wireless internet connection for work. I had an ironing board delivered too, that stayed in the room. I will stay here again.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Learn to use the subway, it's often faster than cabs.

nice funky room design. room had 42inch flat screen tv, desktop, dove toiletries and some skin care stuff. stayed at the 8th flr, which is a non smoking area but the whole floor smells like cigarette. breakfast was so-so, just cereals, banana, coffee/tea, toast. staff was amazing, very helpful and speaks good english. bus stop and yeoksam subway station is about less than 10 minute walk
Nightlife Tip:
gangnam area, 1 stop away, is teeming with nightlife. i actually walked from my hotel to the club area (about 20-25 minute walk which is good if youre trying to sober up)

the location of the hotel is quite convience, after you arrive
airport, you can take the bus 6703 and get off at ressiance
hotel, you only need to walk around 5 minutes to the hotel,
the hotel have a small place for breakfast, it is free of
charge, the room is clean, but the room is small, overall
this hotel is ok for short trip.

staff was very accommodating; explanations on the workings of the features of the hotel were given well. my children who are all teenagers loved the computers, tv plasma screens,surround sound and the hotel room amenities as a whole. my wife liked whirlpool in the room, a nice feature after long hours of walking and going about the various tourist attractions in and around seoul. easy access to the mrt which is just a few meters from the hotel was great to go around the city. as a whole, our stay in the hotel was a very pleasant and good one.
