The central location, proximity to Myeong Dong and subway stations, spacious room and English speaking front office staff. The furnishing may need to be upgraded as the rooms look rather old fashioned. There is no water kettle and the power points are not conveniently located. This is the second time I stayed at the President and I will come back for future visits. The location is unbeatable. The view from my rooms both times offered the entire Seoul Plaza and Deoksugung and a good section of Seoul. The front desk staff especially the young ladies are very forthcoming and helpful. I enjoyed the free shuttle to Incheon Airport on both trips.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Myeong Dong is just 5 minutes walk while Cheonggyecheon is no more than 10 minutes walk. Basically one can make use of the several subway lines that have stations near the hotel.

Cleanliness of the room and bathroom
Kindness of the people working at the counter and support personnel (including the help dealing with Internet use).
Proximity to the shopping areas, especially Lotte Department Store and other shopping areas nearby.
Subways stations are very close to the hotel. Absence of parking area that belong to the hotel for visitors. But this is not a major problem as most visitors somehow seem to find places to park their cars not too far from the hotel and others travel by subways. For cleanliness, kind receptions of the hotel staff,and the location (which is perhaps the most important considerations), I would recommend to my friends in the U.S. as one of the most preferable places to stay, especially for those who are planning to stay more than a week. I have been using this hotel in the past several years and time and again I feel I have been satisfied for their wonderful services. I, for myself, shall keep on using this hotel, every year, the next year included. Let me take this opportunity to thank Agoda also, for their efficiency in accommodating me with the revised plans. I have requested certain adjustment in the hotel stay dates and I appreciate Agoda's expeditious handling of my requests for two such requests that come with the cash refunds.

Shopping Tip : For shopping and dining, President Hotel is so conveniently located. (The famous Lotte Department Store, which includes many good restaurants, is within close provimity from the hotel.) We were very satisfied with these two aspects, along with the location itself.

I did my shopping through other websites and elswhere. I saw other good hotels, but this hotel had all I needed: Location, Price, Condition.
Location: you can not get more central than this. It's right by the city hall, Namdemung Market (top stop for tourists), Lotte Shopping Center, within walking distance (1 km) from Seoul Station, has a KAL (Airport Shuttle) stop right by it (Lotte Hotel plaza), numerous subway stations, etc.
Condition: I would give it 4.5*. Everything is clean and neat. Not superior, but very clean and nice vestibule. Windows need better isolation from the frequent demonstrations right outside of the building. Don't forget, you're in the hearth of the capital of an Asian country. Given the recent political/economic instability, we wre surrounded by thousands (literally) of anti-riot police squads, although very friendly ones. So choose wisely and follow the demonstrations schedule before booking hotel in that area of Seoul.
Also, hotel's cafe should cater some food besides deserts, in my opinion, for those who aren't in mood of walking around late only to find bizarre foods for munchies. Room service was quicker than I could walk outside to get donuts across the street and that was a second time for the day. Maybe they have cameras in rooms and knew I messed it up by evening (due to heavy shopping, of course).

Clean, Nice atomosphere, everything in working order Not too friendly front desk It was a good location and very convenient to stay in middle, near the city hall. The hotel is nice and clean but the beds are not new, but still comfortable enough. The staff is helpful but not very friendly. Only answer when asked, and I think they should smile more to greet customer!

Very Good Location for New year countdown.
Subway Station just right in front of the Hotel door. Not far form from Namdaemun and Myeong dong. The Light in the room is very dim. The smoke smell is all over. The Hotel located near City Hall. Subway Line 2 Very Good Location for New year countdown.

Very Good View of Seoul Plaza at night. Close to all Shopping center. the room is a bit too old for 4 stars hotel. We stayed at President Hotel during the new year. The Lobby look very nice but the room look not as nice as i imagine (for a 4 stars hotel) Staff is friendly with good English Skill. However, the minus points were that we book for a twin bedroom and instead we had double bed room. Despite its good location. The room is OK but not as impressive. For the Shopping Lovers, this is the best location tho with this budget price. it was so close to the shopping center (3 Lotte department stores next to plus the myeong dong and numdaemun market with in walking distance).

Nice View from our room on 29th floor.
The standing light didn't work. The location is best for shopping and sightseeing. Only few minutes to The Lotte Department store and the Duty Free Shop and
within 10 minutes we could reach Myoundon Area. And one or two minutes to the bus stop to/from the Nincheon Airport.
The Hotel we stayed was gougous and calm inside because when we looked the Hotel outside, I didn't feel so.
During Hotel stay, we took the KTX from the Soul Station where we could reach within 20 minutes using the subway.

in the heart of the city, near malls It is convenient as it is situated in the heart of the bustling city. I felt bad for myself when i saw Westin just beside the hotel as i would have loved to stay in a more modern hotel. I was there during winter and the hotel was well-heated. I cant remember if the room has a safety deposit box.
Travel tip : Wear warm clothing as it gets very windy along the street its situated

Rooms need to be refurbished. Seems like there are not enough non smoking rooms If you want a good location and only have a short stay in Seoul, this hotel is it. Near a palace, shopping are and eateries.
Restaurant Tip : There are many nice little food stalls if you go past Lotte Hotel and cross the street.

Room condition & furnitures are a bit old. We spent 7 nights in this hotel. Can't really say this hotel offers value for money other than its location. Our request for a double bed was also not accepted and got a twin bed instead. Tried the buffet at the highest floor, the variety is fine though the quality of food is only so so based on the price. Assessing emails from Business centre is chargeable (by minutes) and is only advisable if you want to check for urgent emails.

Short supply on toilet stuff (like soap or shampoo). Short breakfast upon payment. The hotel was very good in terms of situation on teh very center of Seoul and also the price we paid was very reasonable according to the standard of the hotel. The room was big and comfortable. The only thing to review is the possibility to give toilet stuff such as shampoo.

It is in a convenient area for shopping and near to the underground station. There are few hotels nearby like Lotte Hotel.They are all expensive. President is located in same location as those hotels but very reasonable. Also walking distance from famous big bookstore where my friend wanted to go. It was very helpful as well. I will go back to President hotel to stay again.
Shopping Tip : It is a walking distance to attractive shopping area too.
