The staff of the Ritz-Carlton, Seoul hotel was always friendly and willing to go the extra mile in order to accomodate a pleasant stay. My room was set to a temperature of 86 deg which made it very uncomfortable on the first evening. This was most likely an accident, but unpleasant nonetheless. My stay with the Ritz-Carlton, Seoul hotel was above average once the reservation misunderstandings were taken care of. The hotel itself was clean and well kept with an inviting atmosphere and an appreciative staff. This was my second stay at the hotel and I was pleased to see their willingness to assure my stay was favorable. Unfortunately, made online through Agoda, was not in there system when I arrived. I had a confirmation email with ID number as well as a confirmation of billing from my credit card. Despite having paid for the room, I was forced to pay an additional rate to secure a room for the first night. The Agoda agent to whom I spoke on 16 Oct put me on hold for over 5 minutes. Fortunately, the hotel staff was willing to negotiate with Agoda on my behalf and the matter was eventually solved, but it took most of the next day. Overall, I was very unpleased with Agoda's services as it unecessarily cost me several hours of my vacatnion weekend. I'm not sure that I will ever use Agoda's services again.
Restaurant Tip : The Story of Wine restaurant just down the street was fantastic.
