Conveient location, shops and restaurant are right downstairs. Room is old and not very clean, also noisy as shops are right around the hotel. As subject, this hotel is located right in the heart of Myeong-dong. All kinds of shops and restaurants are within 5-10 minutes of walk. And the staffs are helpful. In addition, free shuttle bus is available to the closest airport bus stop, which is good especially after you've bought things with heavier luggages.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : There is a Lotte department store nearby with supermarket section on the basement level. So you may save the supermarket stuffs until the last day or two and you don't need to take subway back with lots of bags. And they have very nice fruit section and organic section if you are interested.

* Excellent location in the heart of Myeongdong shopping area
* Easily walkable to many other shopping areas such as Namdaemun market & Dongdaemun shopping area * Hotel's walls appear to be very thin & you can hear the noise from outside & the rooms next to you
* Watch out for the hot water as it comes out scalding hot! The staff are friendly and speak reasonable English (and perfect Japanese!)
The location is brilliant being in the heart of Myeongdong shopping area and the price of the rooms is quite reasonable.
They are upgrading the rooms now (Dec 2009) so they're looking much more modern & clean than they used to, with very comfortable beds & pillows.

With a small space, they've utilized the spaces very well. And the room services were very nice. And the everyday clean-up were neaty tidied. They've clean all the mess. Room are quite small for two people (and the suitcases were huge) so there were not much room to place the suitcase or sit. 6 Nights at Savoy hotel with my daughter was an incredible experience. Since entering the hotel to the check-in and to the room, the process took very little time (even less than 10 minutes).
The room was considerably good in the sense of convenience (many many shopping malls and food around the place where you can eat almost 24 hrs as well as many famous shopping areas and tourist attractions). The decorations were plain and simple. Everything were clean and neat. The clean-up service for 6 days were great since the maid really tidied up everything so neatly for us.
The check out was really really super fast, which took us less than 1 minute. This hotel have bus to take you to the bus station for airport limousine too.
For those who are looking for a luxuary hotel, I would not recommend to this type of hotel. But for those who are here to shop or eat and not strictly concerned for the luxurious aspect, this hotel is highly recommended.
Restaurant Tip : Near the area there are many delicious restaurants such as Niji (Japanese buffet during lunch) or VIPS (Europe Buffet)
O'Sulloc is a tea shop (the price are a bit high compared to normal shops) but its worth the money.
On the street side, there are red-bean dumpling near the area as well.
For bakery shop, Paris Baguette is very recommended. The egg tart and moist(strawberry, moccha, sweet potato,cheese) cake.

Location superb for shopping and restaurants Rooms in hotel need renovating, they are old and tired. I had a one day stay at the Savoy Hotel Seoul on the 21st of October, making my reservation on line through the Agoda site. The discription given on the web sight for the hotel was encouraging, and looked like the hotel would meet my needs, with what looked like a comfortable hotel room in a very good location. Unfortunately the room was dark and in need of a total refurbishment. The price paid for the room I was given was, I believe, too expensive for what really is a low budget hotel. The location, however,is ideal for shopping and there are plenty of restaurants close by and the under-ground railway is also in close proximity to the hotel.
Restaurant Tip : Plenty of restaurants and shopping vrtually at hotel front door.

Area, close to subway, restaurants and tons of shops. Can be very loud. Not very good room service. The hotel was very clean and in a great area. Restaurants everywhere you look. Shops all over the place and very close to Myeoung-dong station. Free internet (only wired though, no wireless) and you can only use one computer at a time. Room service isn't very good either, very expensive and not a lot of options. The market closes at around 10:30 which means no nightlife in the immediate area. I would still recommend staying here.

The location is very convenience which is right in the middle of Myeong-dong. Some of the staffs are friendly and helpful. The hotel room is generally small. They shouldnt assign the room which the air-con is broken to guest. The room should be put out of order. We were assigned to a OUT OF ORDER room the first day. We found the air-con is broken when you got to the room. We called immediately to the front desk and they said they will send someone to fix it. We found the air-con is still broken when we got back later that evening. We went to talk to the front staff, and all she said was "it is not hot at night". We really couldnt stand the heat (24 degeree censius). We called again and they deliver an electric fan to the room.
The next day, we talked to another front staff. He said he know the air-con is broken in our room after his check the computer system and he offered to change the room for us at 6pm. The air-con in the new room was much better (like a normal hotel). The first night, I really want to move to another hotel.

Very good location for shopping and easily accessible by subway. Renovation was ongoing then. Once is complete, everything will be alright. For those young ladies who love shopping and korean snacks, this is hotel that you are looking for. Excellent location in the middle of shopping district where easily accessible by subway at Mayendong. The room is spacious and clean. Hotel staff are polite and well verse in English and Japanese. Only drawback was the renovation work that was going then, otherwise would be perfect for my stay.

This hotel is located in the center of Myondong. It's very convenient and close to main tourist places. It's a bit old, but it doesn't really bother. The best thing about this hotel is the location. There are many shopping places you can walk, including Namdaemon, and Lotte department store. It's also convenient to go to Tomdaemon by subway. The station is a minute walk from the hotel. I'd like to stay at this hotel again when I visit Seoul for the next time!

Through the Japanese, who were kind to the front. The meal was perfect for shopping in downtown so. Because in the downtown hotels, and a loud noise or even at night, I was prepared, I have a great sound you open the window they were able to spend most comfortable and close聞Koezu . So hot during the day, back to the hotel to rest and walk a little distance which was very convenient because it was in and out several times. I want to use this hotel next time when you travel.
Shopping Tip : It is a shopping paradise.

Located in the middle of a downtown Myeongdong in Seoul, and two nearby subway station using the station, convenient to go to? The hotels are clustered around the various shops and countless restaurants, this location is impossible to say. He treated everyone with kindness and cheerful staff.
