Renovated and further extended, it recently opened as Paradise Road The Villa Bentota boasting 15 personalized rooms and suites completed with modern facilities.
On a 2 acre plot of land, with a sprawling coconut palm lawn and direct access to a fabulous beach, The Villa Bentota now also offers 2 swimming pools, several lounge areas, restaurant with several private dining options, a Paradise Road gift store and art gallery.

Nothing but good words for this hotel!
The hotel was just beautiful. The decorations, food, staff and a nice garden. Close to the beach and turtles.

We really loved this hotel and everything from A-Z was just perfect. Breakfast and food was delicious and we loved the fact that they served afternoon tea with cake. The staff was so friendly and tried to help you as best as they could.

We had a wonderful stay at The Villa Bentota. The resort grounds are beautiful - the concept is very well thought out and attention is given to details. The pool area is a great place to chill and we spent our afternoons lounging by the pool. The staff would come by with iced water which is great on a hot day! Also, complimentary afternoon tea cake and tea is served by the pool.The beach is just a minute's walk away.It is almost like a private beach. There were hardly anyone besides the other guests from two boutique resorts (Paradise Road and Club Villa).
The food served at the hotel is excellent (albeit pricier than food elsewhere). We tried almost all the Sri Lankan dishes during our stay and they were all good.
Wifi is only available at the reception area and sometimes in the other public areas. We were allowed to check out late since there were no other guests coming in that day.
Some of the staff were friendlier than others. Service may be a little slower and even patchy at times. But this seems like the phenomenon in many of the Sri Lankan hotels that we stayed in.
