Guests can also take day trips to the UNESCO listed Dutch Fort in Galle, Hikkadua, and also the Kosgoda Turtle Hatchery. One might say that one of the strengths of this property is that it is not too large and as such staff get to know their guests and can offer more personalized service. One should not overlook the local shops just outside the main hotel gates because they have great souvenirs and postcards at reasonable prices.
