Facing the sea, easy going setting and nice location.
The old wing certainly requires an uplift especially the floor carpets.
Regrettably I was placed at the old wing (upgraded executive suite room) which marred my entire stay at the hotel otherwise would have been great. Requested for room change to new wing was poorly attended to.
Unless I get to stay at the new wing in my next visit, I will not go back to hotel.

Large rooms, hospitality. It is very close to the beach. I like it.
LOcal & international telephone facilities are not freely available. I had to take phone calls through the operator. It is really frustrated.

Its historical buildings. The setting is superb.
The staff are courteous and helpful. The food is
good. The pool is still good, the new sauna/steam/exercise rooms are very good.
The hotel is suffering from age. They are upgrading it room by room and good work is being done, but some is better late than not at all. The food is
buffet always and the small ala carte menu is poor.
I have been here before and love the place. But
Management needs some good hotel consultants, it could use a policy review. Lesser staff are often unable to perform if asked a question. The hotel has become
a popular wedding and reception factory -- a money maker, no doubt, but a definite distraction
for the guests.
Hotel Feature Tip : Keep asking for a better room. We moved three times and finally had a giant room on the top floor. It was an upgrade because they couldn't really do what we wanted. Sadly, it had views all around of the rooftops.
