Arrived at 9 on first night to very poor welcome where they seemed annoyed that we arrived and didnt seem to want us to stay. We were asked for our bookings as well as my name, how long we were staying, where we came from that day and why so late for about 15 mins before invited inside the house. we only slept there as out to a wedding etc and didnt really hang out so only had experience of the woman of the house after that. She was a very good host and very helpful calling tuktuks and recommending dinner places etc. Wifi did not work as advertised as was apparently hacked and they were over their bundle for month so we couldn't use their laptop either. After warm hospitality stay in other sri lanka hotels and in sri lanka in general, was disappointed it was not exactly as advertised and bad arrival. Wouldn't stay again.

Absolutely wonderful. It was such a treat to stay in the suite and it was one of the best nights of sleep I had my entire time in Sri Lanka. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful in getting my taxi to the airport and making sure I had breakfast before leaving. Furthermore, I accidentally lost my camera somewhere on the way to the airport and they were very helpful in looking for it and contacting the taxi service. Unfortunately it was not found :( but I appreciated their effort.
Definitely stay here, it is a gorgeous Sri Lankan home and so very comfortable.

This beautiful house with an open design is a peaceful refuge in the big city of Colombo. The tasteful surroundings and open garden create a soothing environment. The absence of television and an emphasis on quiet is perfect for those interested in meditation or calm relaxation after a long day of travel. The room is very spacious, the facilities comfortable, and the homemade breakfast delicious (I ordered Sri Lankan style.)The couple managing the hotel are friendly and helpful, easy-going and welcoming.

Fantastic ambience

Very quite if you like being on your own

Very hard to find no signage out the front. The staff was no where to be found. When we found them they were unfriendly and not very helpful. The location wasn't the best for finding somewhere to eat. Although the rooms were nice they were not clean gardens were lovely though. Wouldn't stay there on my own,
