If you want to be near the Railway station , ie 7 mins walk , and in the heart of Colombo The Hilton is as good a place to stay as anywhere . More 5 star hotels are under construction , such as the Hyatt but most of them are at least a mile and a half from the old town /shopping area of Colombo and they are near to the sea.

Japanese restaurant and chef in Buffet restaurant as well as gym facilities

room clean, gym extremely well-equipped, gardens beautiful. travel centre very helpful, staff in japanese and buffet restaurants attentive and accommodating. hotel driver was wonderful.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
A visit to the Kelaniya buddhist temple is a must!

Not worth it...
The room view is very good, with sea view. Pretty beautiful. The hotel staff are very nice.

Expensive room rate with poor service. The room rate is very expensive, however, even WIFI and Internet is not included for the room. You have to pay for internet when using in the room and about 3 dollars an hour.

hotel géniallissime! staff juste parfait et ultra disponible! la piscine est super bien entretenu. les restos de l'hotel sont certes pas bon marché mais super bons! super bonne ambiance avec des lives band aux différents bar de l'hotel!
Shopping Tip:
à très courte distance des principaux centre shopping et du quartier d'affaires...et de la côte aussi!

さすがヒルトン！展望も部屋も食事もスタッフも全て良し。また泊まりたいホテルです。
海の見える部屋は展望抜群です。部屋も清潔ですし、食事もスタッフも言うことなしです。

旅の最終日に泊まったのですが、さすがヒルトンという感じで好感度100点でした。部屋からは海や湖、街が展望でき、清潔で気持ちが良かったです。食事も美味しいし、スタッフの笑顔がとてもいい感じでした。特にベッドが快適でよく眠れました。これは展望その他より大事なことかもしれません。またぜひ泊まりたいホテルです。
