Clean comfortable and central stay in Colombo

The hidden hotel

The hotel is well situated only a few miles from down town. We have a lot of problems finding the hotel because no proper adress is stated on the vaucher only the streetname but not the number. And nothing on the house sign it as a hotel. I took us one hour just to find the hotel. The manager told us that the lack of proper adress was due to security for the guest! A secret hotel. Maybe the reason is something else. The room was very ordinary and overpriced. The hotel close for the night at 9.30 pm! The owners do not live in the house and is managed by a not very friendly or serviceminded person. Not to be recommended unless you want to play "find the hotel-game".

Staff are helpful. However get your own water. They dont provide mineral water. They would provide you only boiled water, and you might have to wait for it to cool down.

Host is very helpful. Breakfast is very basic. Room is spacious with TV and hot shower. Located in central area (Colombo 7) so easy to get around but the hotel is quiet at night.

this is not a hotel by any stretch of the imagination. this is basically a b&b.. but unfortunately does not serve breakfast or any meals. owner should link up with local restaurants and provide menus so that guests can order food for delivery. also a mini bar fridge in the room will be handy so that drinks can be kept cool cos temperature in colombo is very warm.
we booked here for 12 nights to watch the t20 cricket but only stayed in for maybe 6 nights cos my team had a few games away from colombo.
the room was large however lack of curtains meant the sun was streaming in by 7am. airconditioning worked well. bathroom was ok. small box type tv with limited channels. wi fi worked ok but the caretaker guy kept switching it off all the time maybe in an effort to save power..lol
all in all my stay was ok. but this place needs a bit of improvement however its got potential.

The property has only two rooms and the service level is awful. Did not expect you to post a property of this level in their website. There is only one person who is responsible to take care of the guests - does not speak English at all. Will never recommend anybody to book this property. We requested for twin bed - which they could not manage. The toilet is too small compared to the room. This is a house converted into a hotel with only two rooms - should not be called a Hotel? They do not have any food facility at all.

Thia is not a hotel, this is a house with 2 rooms

Firstly this is a house with 2 bedrooms upstairs and the caretaker lives downstairs, this is not a hotel, pls make sure there is no parking at the premises, we were turned down with out permitting to park on our arrival middle of the night, which there was no such info in the website.Caretakers/owner simple explanation was that they don't expect customers to have cars driving in, and they dont offer alternative carpark somewhere close to the house.
Travel tip:
No parking space in the premises.
