The hotel was spotless. There was nothing to fault about the hotel. However, we were on the ground floor, next to the breakfast and communal area which was very noisy. One lady came out of her room and asked people to be quiet as they were trying to sleep. this is my only critisim.

We stayed 1 night in Colombo and i believe that Lake lodge was the perfect choice. We stayed in room 3, which is located next to the kitchen which made some noise in the evening. Go for an other room if possible.

I did not expect such a guesthouse after I have a round trip at Sri Lanka. A great location which tutu driver knows where it is, (so easy to bargain). In walking distance to museum and other attraction. A peaceful place which located in center of Colombo !
Hotel Feature Tip:
The adaptor is not good but, please bring your own. In the deluxe room there is only one plug, which is not that enough.

It was really a good experience. It is value for Money. Hotel Staff very courteous and friendly. The food was excellent. The rooms are small but comfortable. It is a small estate but ambience is great. Would recommend to my friends.

Wonderful hotel spotlessly clean boutique rooms
good design, excellent service and food and brilliant location - every driver we used in Colombo knew where it was although it is in quiet but central location. Lovely cold beers after hot day's sightseeing. I think it is worth taking their offer of a pick up at the airport although more expensive than organising it yourself still a very fair price. Upgraded on arrival to one of the ypstairs deluxe rooms which was excellent very high ceiling and efficient aircon. Linen towels etc all of highest quality.

So impressed by initial stay that managed to get a standard room on return from tour and this room though not quite as big as upstairs one was still large with same excellent design and highly recommended. a Brilliant place to start your holiday in Sri Lanka.
Restaurant Tip:
Colombo cricket Club and Gallery restaurant are both excellent, the latter being a bit pricey but good classy food. Also nearby on Galle Street the Courtyard bar/ restaurant behind the excellent Barefoot Shop is relaxing and really pleasant.

We had a pleasant stay at this hotel and would return if visiting SL again. The standard room was of good size, clean, comfortable and well maintained.
The breakfast served at this hotel was excellent in terms of quantity and quality.
The location is good but not during wet weather !

I arrived at Colombo in the late evening and was delighted to be greeted by the warm lighting and contemporary concept of Lake Lodge. It's very much a modern boutique hotel of the exacting standards of any metropolis like Tokyo or London.
I had a deluxe room on the second floor and it was spacious with all the necessary comforts. I appreciate the clean and spacious bathroom, and the comfortable bed.
The restaurant within the hotel was wonderful too - the food was great and the atmosphere encouraged convivial conversations with fellow travellers.
Management's service was just the right touch of concern and professionalism. I had a great stay at Lake Lodge and will definitely recommend Lake Lodge.
