The hotel is centrally located, easy access to all shopping and tourist areas of Colombo, the hotel is walking distance from the lake. The staff are friendly and the service is good. Only had breakfast at the hotel which was nice.

Clean hotel with spacious rooms and decent western breakfast (you have to pre-order Sri Lankan breakfast the day before). About 10-15 mins walk to Galle Face and 10 mins walk to Gangaramaya Temple.

Lake Lodge was our last stay after 2 weeks in Sri Lanka and it was without a doubt the most thought through and well designed venue. The staff were kind and helpful, breakfast was delicious, the roof is lovely to have a drink/dinner. The rooms are comfy with nice clean large bathrooms, with powerful hot showers - although you are not encouraged to open the curtains as there is little view to speak of so I felt slightly that I was in a cave (but I actually quite liked the effect!).
