Checked in pretty late evening for an overnight stay. Food was very good, but a bit expensive. Rooms are small for what they charge. Internet is also chargeable.

Location was marvelous, however old wing is a little old and scary. i made a switch to new wing and it was marvelous :)

Enjoyed our stay here. Rooms in the City Wing were fairly spacious and clean and very quiet. Shower was nice and hot.
We didn't have much time to explore, but local attractions seemed fairly accessible from the hotel.

Have stayed here many times , it is close to Galle Face , Majestic city , Crescat , Great Restaurants nearby for local fare try the raja bojun great buffet, There is Sunshine garden if you like authentic chinese taste as in china. Nightlife abundant nearby night clubs. Buses available towards Galle and also to the Bus stand at Pettah from the Hotel front.

Nice rooms, bad management

Our room, which was a delux room in the renuka city wing, was really nice and brand new. However, the rooms in the other wing looked pretty bad. As for the management, it is clear that they are trying to squeeze every last cent out of their guests. We arrived at the hotel in the morning and had to pay an extra half day in order to check in before 1pm, even tough the hotel was almost completely empty. There is no free wifi even in the lobby, and it costs $14 per day per device to use the wifi, which kept cutting out. There are also no real services in the hotel, so plan on eating out and getting some water, snacks, etc at a shop before settling into your room.

The rooms are quite ok - average and quite clean. Some of the bell boys (standing near the door) are very helpful but the reception staff are not very smiley, not very prompt and upon leaving for the airport, one of them (at the reception) was showing a nasty look when he kept insisting that we pre-book a taxi when we checked out but we didnt. He kept asking us if we wanted to cancel it but we did not prebook any taxi with him. The pool was under renovation during the period.
Restaurant Tip:
There are not many eateries in the area so give the restaurant a try at the basement.

the location is close to the beach side and lot of shoplots and banks around there... the room is small but good enough for 2 person stay... the services is good even we ask for earlier check in they quickly arrange for us.the food at restaurant is ok, close to srilankan taste...

Clean, location not bad, a short tuktuk ride away from major sights, staff very helpful.

Good central location to get to the various tourist sights and shopping.
Would have been better if breakfast were included in the room rate, nothing decent in walking distance.
Pool was closed.

Green Cabin is on Galle Road - very reasonably priced Sri Lankan food
