This is an adequate hotel. However the decor is somewhat jaded. Rooms are functional and lack frills. Better control of mosquitoes is required. The location was suitable for this reviewer, but probably not for most tourists and visitors - it is somewhat far from the main city sights.

hotel from hell

The only good thing about this place is the reception. The ladies at the reception are helpful. The common areas are good. Beyond that nothing good. Breakfast is poor and very bad hygiene. Rooms have fungus growth in some part of ceiling. Bedsheets are not upto standard. once i had to wait for a bottle of water for two hours. The staff dont understand English very well. Will never come back to this place. They charge for full stay upfront.
Restaurant Tip:
Best thing is to order food from outside

Overpriced
There are few eateries around and shops. It is not far from the city. It is quiet. It has a large fish pond

This is my second stay here. I find this place quite convenient to reach the places that I need to reach. This time I chose to book through Agoda to save per day. The night I arrived there, I was given a room in the far end with no Wi-Fi signal coming into the room. I asked for a room with Wi-Fi connectivity but they refused to change. Due to the heavy rains, the room began to leak in one or two places. On the next day morning, I got the room changed.
I couldn’t like the breakfast they served. I decided not to eat there.
I am not sure if I will stay there the next time.

comfortable, entertaining variety of channels, wished the bathrooms were bigger, breakfast can improve. wifi could have been more accesible. nevertheless, the staffs were helpful and friendly. may want to come back again if it was more cheaper.

The hotel room is clean and pleasant. But the service is quite bad. In-room complimentary coffee/ tea not provided, no kettle for boiling drinking water. The food choice for breakfast is limited.

The most horrible hotel I have ever stayed. Horrible service...No Lift...So be prepared to checking and check-out your-self as there is no staff available.

Extremely poor hotel and service

A warning to all those who are thinking of going and staying at this place! We had quite a bad BAD experience. Starting from the beginning . We reached this hotel and the room was crap, it had two lizards, patches all over the room. Bedsheet wasnt leave it had marks on it. I can't believe i paid, infact wasted so much money on this hotel. It's should be rated as a unclassified hotel.
We had specifically asked for a double bed, they gave us two single beds, with a joining door in between. Early morning at 6 a.m we were woken up by loud music from the next door (joining door) boys. We called and complained to the reception as well as manager but no action was taken. Again we called at 7 a.m and they put the music on even louder. No action was taken. Unfortunately because we had paid for two nights, we had to stay there.
Next morning after using the washroom it smelled so bad, it was a sewage leak so we went downstairs to tell them to either fix it or change our room. Again they did not bother to do anything about it and said we will try and nothing was done about it .
Men out there were starring at my wife and no apologies were given about any of the above.
What a bad experience we had.
If i was in to give a rating to this hotel i'd given it a -5 !
We carried and put bags in the car ourselves. No one was there to say goodbye. Nothing !
Nothing to eat nearby except Mcdonald's, colombo city is far away. Nothing close by. Manager was rude. Nothing attracted me at all!
