A 3 Star hotel which does what it says on the tin
Large Room on high floor, Good size pool, Large variation in choices for breakfast, a manager by the name of Alex who is extremely helpful.

Our stay for three weeks at the hotel was satisfying to say the least but one must request a high floor to experience the views of the ocean. There was plenty of choices for breakfast everyday but one or two of the staff struggle to grasp the English language at breakfast. The gardens are maintained well and the pool staff do their jobs well. Our main point of contact was a supervisor called Alex who is Canadian he was extremely friendly and assisted in the language breakdown.
The hotel is ideally situated on the beach but it is not advisable to swim directly in front of the hotel due to the coral and undercurrents go about 50 metres to the left as you get onto the beach from the hotel. This is a three star hotel do not expect a five star service. We will be staying again as this is ideally priced as a base and all you do is sleep and relax at the location.

Hotel was a good set up with a nice pool. The room was simple but clean. Bathroom was small but functional. We had an issue with the bathroom smelling like sewerage which they tried to fix but eventually moved us to a new room. Breakfast was good but we didn't eat other meals there. Staff were very friendly and helpful

Great place but could do better

Nice 4-star rooms and facilities. Good central location, though it's about 10 mins walk (best do along the beach in order to avoid the stupid Marine Park entrance fee) to the real reef-protected area with year round safe swim which starts at Tranz hotel. Good TV, airco, bathroom with amenities; but do note that not all Superior rooms have full sea view, mine was 1st floor and mostly watched the restaurant. Excellent 4-star breakfast food and service (did not try dinner buffet) and nice evening entertainment.
Main downside is organisation, probably caused by staff training level. Went to pool 7:30 AM (it opens at 7) and the cleaner told 'pool boy with towels coming soon'; 8:45 he still was not there and of course already had gone to room and used room towel. Also checkout was quite chaotic, with the 2 staff members at the desk both talking to other guests and in between pointing me to a cashier counter which I did not need at all (room was prepaid and no extras). But if you can get a good price, please do visit the Citrus!

A nice big hotel next to the beach with easy access to bars and restaurants. Supermarket opposite is handy with young children. Swimming pool is not very child friendly for young children. Worth a stay for a few days but we were ready to move on after 4.
