Not the best place to stay in Kandy

The Hotel is situated on the hill only 5 tuk-tuk minutes away from the center. Standard rooms are rather small and especially the bathrooms need a renovation. Triple rooms are bigger and nice, but might be a real hassle to get it. The food is good. In the evening parties with loud disco music till 11 pm.

the location is ok, but the maintenance of the hotel was mediocre. The rooms were not up to the expectations. The beds were not comfortable, the sheets were nto clean and the bathrooms were dirty too..
there were a lot of people(apparently staff) walking in the hallways through out the night.
The whole wing had a dark musty feel to it
They also have a pretty expensiv3 but mediocre buffet

Great location and superb views
The interiors were nice and sytlish, the view from the room was simply wonderful as the hotel was located at a height.

We like the hotel and enjoyed our short stay here. The children also liked the indoor games. The breakfast was good.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
The hotel was located at a height a little distance away from the hustle and bustle of the busy streets. walking up may take an effort.

we stayed in the hilltop hotel for 2 nights during our three week tour through sri lanka. it was very hard to find. after one hour of searching we finally did find this place. friendly staff. no free wi-fi. breakfast buffet was nice. we didnt eat dinner at the hotel because the prices were too high. we found better offers in and around town. rooms were clean but humid and our room had a slight smell to it. average hotel.

Decent hotel with good views

Check in a breeze with friendly staff. Erroneously booked 2 rooms for 2 adults instead of 4 adults. Issue sorted out quickly and amicably. Rooms comfortable and clean. Good views from room. Breakfast well spread out with some variety change on 2 days that we stayed there. Remember that climb from main road to hotel is a bit steep and can be somewhat tiring, but going down is fun. Special word for their manager who is very friendly and always willing to help with tourist information.

Food was good but hoppers made in the morning were below average. The management was very courteous and helpful; and also accommodating.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Look for both sides of the road for hotel sign. Current sign is only on one side that isn't seen when you drive in one direction. Our time was wasted looking for the right road to the hotel.

Наверное, лучший отель в Канди. Обслуживание соответствует имени (правда созвучно с хилтоном :) ). Очень порадовала надпись на балконе-остерегайтесь обезьян. Они и в правду забираются в номер:). Клевые завтраки. Приятно порадовало наличие бельярда и тенниса. Поедем в Канди только в хилТоп
