The Villa was stunning and Highlight of my trip

This is a stunning Villa. I came here with two friends and was lucky because we basically had the whole place to ourselves. The design, large rooms and pool are impressive. There is also free wifi. Wish I could have stayed here for a week......I will be back.......

Although we had paid per nigh through Agoda, we were asked for an additional per day as a service charge! We refused to pay especially since we had been locked out of the property in the dark and rain. There were no staff close by to open the gate.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
you can rent a car and go whereever you want to.
Yala national park is charming place.
On road, it's the real travel.

Lovely Setting and Hotel Features
Lovely setting on top of a hill. Very tastefully done out. Large rooms. Nice pool.

This hotel is a little out of town and down a dirt track but the views and location make it worthwhile. It has lovely grounds and an infinity pool overlooking the ocean. It is walkable distance to Weligama beach where you can see fishermen and windsurf.
the interiors of the rooms are lovely with large shower and nice basin sited inside the room.
This hotel works as a villa whereby there is a kitchen where you can have food prepared and you need to purchase your own drinks.
Lunch and dinner can be arranged for you and there are staff who will cook this for you.
Travel tip:
Take a tuk tuk to Mirissa to eat and spend time on the beach - lots of places to eat at very reasonable prices

Nice Villa, but a bit out of the way

It was a really nice stay. When we arrived we gave our entire food (and beer) order for the 3 days stay to the manager, and enjoyed the great cooking of the chef from the groceries we ordered.
It was a unique "villa" experience to, because it was a shared situation. We felt like we were on our own, but at dinner and breakfast we would be sharing the dining table with other couples. The other couples were nice people so it was actually quite fun.

Stunning architecture and service, NOT in Mirissa
This is the most beautiful villa I have ever seen

If you want a relaxing getaway, in the middle of nowhere with luxury, perfect service, staff willing to do anything and get anything then this is the place for you. However it is not in Mirissa although the map leads you to believe it is, but the villa does provide a tuk tuk to take you there which is about a 20 minute ride away.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Each villa has its own private pool and there is a little track that leads you to a beach which although is not private, seems it.

we had a great trip. the staff were very friendly and courteous. we were given a room upgrade as the hotel was empty.
great location as we had a wedding in mirissa which was 5 minutes away. view was fantastic from the top villas.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Opt for the higher villas as this has the view and nice pool. The villa at the bottom did not.

Boutique hotel in the old fort part of Galle

We stayed here only for one night. A very special hotel with very special rooms. It almost feels like you are staying in someones upscale home. The building is old but the facilities and room was modern. It is well taken care off. Also the location is great, from this hotel you can easily walk anywhere within Galle Fort. Very romantic and a definite recommendation for a couple.
Restaurant Tip:
Royal Dutch Cafe, right next door to Mamas Guest House, you can get nice coffee, tea, sandwiches or roti here. The owner is very friendly and can tell you a lot about Galle.
