Excellent breakfast, nice garden and pool area, spacious rooms with useful balcony, clean. Rapid service in restaurant and at pool. Polite staff.\nNot too elegant and pompous but good quality.
Maybe a little worn out here and there. The train passed just beside the hotel garden when located between beach and the hotel building.
Very nice hotel with a lot of local celebrations like weddings, and home coming parties which gave us northern people an extra highlight to admire the Indian saree design and ladies jewelry.\nThe breakfast was grand, fruits of many kinds, both local and international dishes and breakfast cook to fry omelets. Also a daily newspaper as room service was a great advantage to follow what was happened downtown Colombo.There were Bell boys and hotel manager always available if needed and the taxi service well care taken. In case You had children there were also a separate pool for small ones.
Restaurant Tip : On the beach next to hotel there were also many other than its own Indian restaurant available which is very convenient when avoiding to take a taxi to a diner restaurant
