very bad kitchen very bad internet and management.

well we went there at the end of our trip because we were backpacking and decided to pamper ourselves at the last day. I used to work as a tour representative and for my experience this Hotel is BEAUTIFUL but the management is ZERO. No wireless connexion was available as they claimed there was a problem. the Internet at the Business center needed an hour to log in to my Gmail and i couldnt even send an email. the hotel is too far from any civilization and the kitchen is too poor. if you want to eat something the menu needs half an hour to be on your table the waiters always unavailable and the food is too expensive for what it is. That is why we checked out as soon as possible and went by tuc tuc to negombo city. They dont have any transportation for their clients at night. They told us they have a Taxi we asked them for it they told us that the taxi isnt answering them. Well here you go its a beautiful Hotel as an object but as personnel its a total dissapointment.

This is a very pleasant hotel, great value for money. It's right on the beach and even though swimming is not possible because of waves and currents. However, hotel has two pools - loud (with animators) and quiet. Breakfast was very good, lots of choices. Buffet BBQ dinner (3 times a week) also very tasty. This is a great place to relax and forget about life :)

Great resort with pool, beach and great activities

Overall, our stay was very good. The grounds of the resort are beautiful, with a great pool that was beach side. There were fun activities planned from croquet to water volleyball and aerobics, to beach volleyball. The rooms are clean (other than a bug or two - nothing that a room spray couldn't handle). Our main complaint was the customer service at our arrival at reception and with a chef at meal time. On arrival, we were not told about the all-inclusive option, which is a very good deal. So we started out our stay paying for things when it could have been included. We had to find out on our own about the all inclusive option, and it seemed as if we were the only ones that didn't know about it. Another incidence we had was at at meal time, when were weren't aware of the the meal time (because not informed by reception), and no one paid attention to us for 15 minutes, then when we asked about it one of the cooks/chefs got snotty with us and told us we needed to wait, rather than inviting us to go to the nearest bar for a drink to wait until the serving time. Overall, the servers, bartenders and workers were all very nice with just those exceptions stated.

It is an impressive hotel, located just by the beach. we can hear the waves while we sleep. our room is the villa which is just a few steps away from the beach. it's more quieter side of the hotel. we have a separate pool from the superior rooms which are more boisterous and fun. with DJs entertaining the guests by the pool.
we has our breakfast there, it was not that good. you may see a fly or two drowned in the maple syrup or jam. a variety of spread though, from western to local cuisine. i could only enjoy the omelete and toast.
our villa room was good. spacious, with dvd player and plasma tv. do expect small insects to crawl in. dont dream about sitting in the balcony enjoying to moonlight, unless you want to be accompanied by mosquitoes. do have a mosquito patch whenever u feel the need to have a walk after sunset. by the way, watch your step at the beach. dogs pooh are everywhere. think twice to have that romantic walk by the beach.
it takes 2hrs to go to colombo and 40min to airport, in no heavy traffic
