We stay in Jetwing Blue for 2 nights as it is near Colombo airport. The hotel is new, lovely simple decor and layout. As this is our honeymoon, my husband contacted the F&B manager, and we managed to have a table in a private part of the beach, Chef and waiters all to ourselves. Nothing better than ending the honeymoon this way.
Travel tip:
Not the best beach there, quite dirty and lack of privacy.
But staying there before you leave Sri Lanka would be ideal.

A charming hotel.
A plus for the staff at my arrival, who took care of me and my friends in an excellent way.

The hotel and the room I rented was excellent. The outdoor around the pool and at the beach was in excellent condition. The only thing that was disturbing was that the beach vendors were allowed to go into the area which would be nice not to have. The hotel staff, especially the person who took care of my booking, was absolutely amazing. This service means that I will certainly be back to this hotel next time I come to Negombo.

Reception staff were very efficient and checked us in immediately despite early arrival. The lobby could do with renovation as it looks a bit tired, especially considering this is an expensive hotel. Given our initial impression of the lobby, we were then surprised to see that the rooms were so lovely. Food at the poolside was beautiful, large portions and excellent value. The quality of the breakfast buffet was not however of the same standard although acceptable. The section of the beach where the hotel was located was obviously kept very clean by the staff but further along the beach, there was a lot of rubbish.

Overall I have no complaints. My only complaint is that i find the reception a bit of a lacking. As I was checking out, there was only 1 reception working, with another person doing something else while customers are waiting, when all they had to do was to just accept the keys (since the room is already paid for). However, since I came to the resort to relax, I didn't want to end the holiday on a sour note, so I waited.
But other than that, it is a beautiful resort, the beach is nice, the staff attending is also very nice and pleasant. It was a nice lazy weekend with no fuss.
