Great hotel for a night or two in negombo

we had a deluxe room booked for a reasonable price on agoda. it was a last minute booking without much research done, but we were pleasantly surprised by the room. it had a big bathroom, little kitchen and living room plus two small balconies.
staff was very helpful, breakfast was excellent and the pool is nice. it's across the road from the beach so there's no lying by the the sea. and the beach in negombo is not really that nice if you ask me...
Restaurant Tip:
Do try the Lords/Batsman restaurant just 50 meters down the street.

Great little hotel with large rooms

Met on arrival at the airport, promptly driven to the hotel and shown to our large, clean rooms. Noise and light show from disco strip didn't really worry us as we were tired but could be a problem for others.
Breakfast room clean and staff very attentive.
We set off early next day for drive to sigirya so our stay was short but sweet.

Excellent in every way
small hotel, very clean and well equipped rooms, very attentive staff, excellent food, very competent, professional massage therapist... what is there not to like?!!!!

If you do not like small hotels, don't come here and complain there is not enough to do! This hotel is very well run, with all the staff keen to do their best to help. The chef is very capable and will be very accommodating to your dietary requirements.Presentation excellent. The pool is not big, but is adequate. It is true you can get cheaper places to stay, but for comfort, service, friendliness and a well equipped hotel, this is well worth a visit....or many visits, if you can!

The hotel is very nice, cozy and comfortable.
Stylish, great friendly stuff, the atmosphere of relaxation and joy.
Very nice breakfasts (i havent tried dinners there and maybe that was a mistake)
The fat white stupid rabbit lives at the hotel, must be tasty!

Nice hotel in a bustling part of Negombo

i stayed at the hotel two nights at the start of my trip to sri lanka. negombo beach didn't really hold much for me, but st. lachlan hotel was very nice. large rooms with excellent bathrooms, helpful staff and a nice location. plenty of pubs and restaurants around. a short walk to the beach which is pretty to look at.
the best part i thought was its proximity to the airport. i arrived late at night and the quick trip to the hotel was very welcome. good nights rest!

This is a new, clean, characterless hotel about 100 meters from the beach. There is no view. Our deluxe room felt like a (spacious) motel room.
Service was good, but they turn the internet off at night. When we wanted to go online at 5 a.m. (up early with jet lag) the WiFi was off. The night-staffer did not speak English. All was in order by 7 a.m.
Overall, this hotel is a fine place to stop for a night on the way in or out of the airport, and I would stay here again.

Quiet location close to all Negombo Beach action

Two nights just off the plane from NZ. Good comfortable room with style and very clean. Pool was lovely. Short walk (30metres)to the main drag with lots of food and shopping options, and another 20 metres to the beach.
Travel tip:
No alcohol for sale on Poya Day, which caught us out, just off the plane. Should have shopped at Duty Free
