I have travelled all round the world and this property has the distinction of being the worst property that I have stayed in. We laid on the bed and crashed to the floors, the rooms badly need not renovation, but restoration. Each night there are wedding parties with the property being the foremost outdoor wedding venue in Negombo. Nice for the guests but do not expect to sleep as the rooms face the speakers that the band is using. There are bad hotels in the world and then there is the Sunflower. My family still ask me, when I say that I am using the Internet for booking, "Iis it is bad as the Sunflower!"

The beach location.

The property is a disaster. Bad condition. Loud wedding music till 2 am every night outside.

Travel tip : Some nice restaurants on the road close by.
