The location is not very clear. There are not much activities to do. The hotel was very nice and clean. I loved the bathroom and the cleaness of the room. The sea view was very nice. The staff is freindly.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : You can go to diffrent places in Negombo from the hotel such as temples, churches, mosques, beach ...etc.

Location, staff, design, food Beach sellers do cause some disturbance, although some guests seem to like this! Lovely hotel, very efficiently run but staff still friendly. Restaurants excellent. Rooms lovely (partic like sitting in the bath watching the sunset).
Lots of wildlife in the grounds.
Also in a handy location - close to where the fishermen land their catch but easy walking distance to shops/restaurants/hairdressers etc. Tuk tuks & drivers wait outside.
Cannot fault it.

Good beach, pool and restaurant. The sea at Negombo can be a little rough, so location not perhaps ideal. The Beach is a nice, clean hotel with decent sized rooms overlooking a broad beach and the sea beyond. The hotel furnishings are modern and amenities are good. We had a large balcony overlooking the Indian Ocean and the facilities at the hotel were as they should be. There are some nice restaurants and bars on the road behind the hotel which are definitely worth a look. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend the hotel to others.

Beautiful views of the beach and grounds from all rooms. The staff and management are what make this hotel such a wonderful place to stay. The building is a little bit tired and worn in some areas. We had a fantastic holiday. The breakfast is fabulous. The staff are all extremely good, from the gardeners and security guards, to the waiting staff and front desk, our room cleaners (twice a day!) and of course those of the management that we met and who talked to us at length. Very impressed throughout.
We will be back.
Travel tip : Various small shops just outside the hotel that sell drinks, snacks and any other items you need such as toiletries or mosquito coils. Shop owners all speak a little English, some are fluent.
Tuk tuks available outside for cheap short journeys.

Great long sandy beach, good surf to have fun in the sea, bedrooms are very comfortable, close to the airport Below beach sand is silt, so the water in very dark, all rooms get pool and restaurant noises, some of the food was not so fresh, main restaurant rather hot, overall expensive for what the service provided The Beach was fine. The main point of the hotel is to be very close to the airport: 20 minutes drive, which allowed me to get some sleep before my 3-hour flight back home leaving at 2am.
The bedrooms get most of the noise from the pool and main restaurant below. To get to the pool, one has to go through the lobby and restaurant area, this can lead to seeing a lot of flesh while eating.
Most disappointing: the restaurant area is very hot. It is rather uncomfortable. In the morning, the frying egg stand is in the middle of the restaurant area so everybody gets to smell like fried egg. At noon, all the desserts were standing in the 30°C heat; my tiramisu was clearly sour.
Small accident: a lassi advertised as sweet was actually very salty - probably use of wrong white powder in the kitchen. But the staff seemed offended more than anything when I signaled the problem; same with the sour tiramisu. No apologies given; offended looks.
Overall extremely expensive for what it was. Better deals for the same level of service in Southeast Asia.
Food variety not very varied. Set themes in the evening does not allow diners to choose food (or one has to go to the even more expensive restaurant upstairs)
