Peaceful and efficient
quiet, efficient, good food, great pool

Efficiently-run, comfortable hotel in quiet location (i.e. back from the busy road). Food was very good (service a bit slow) and the pool is fantastic. Bit too far from the cave temple to walk but local busses going past the hotel will drop you there, or catch a tuktuk.

Good hotel as a base for visiting the area

We stayed 4 nights as a base for visiting for 'Cultural Triangle" area. The hotel was adequate for this, and it was great to relax poolside after a days' sight seeing.
Even though there are the mod cons of TV and air conditioning in the rooms, they are looking a little tired - but this didn't worry us as we were there to visit sites, not sit in hotel rooms.
We found the staff to be very polite.

Good hotel well positioned for the golden temple and Sigiriya. The hotel itself has all the facilities needed for a short stay, clean and tidy.
Staff are also very helpful and friendly.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
It is easily possible to see both the golden temple and Sigiriya with a one night stay.

we stayed at gimanhal hotel for our stay in dambulla. the hotel is nice, clean and has a pool. it was very hard to find because the map we printed from agoda showed the hotel next to the lake. well it wasnt there. it is directly on the main road in dambulla. the food is good but you can find good food at better prices in the city, for example at travelers stop. just 5 minutes away from hotel. in the evening they only offered a menu but for lunch you could eat from buffet. breakfast was sometimes menu and sometimes buffet. pool is nice but is right next to the restaurant. no privacy. they have a lot of people who come to eat lunch there that are not staying at the hotel. all in all it was a nice stay. can recommend the hotel for its services.

Hotel de style au coeur de la ville
Le style de l'hotel, le mobilier, l'emplacement,

Bel endroit en centre-ville avec une belle piscine au fond de couleur foncée, restaurant spacieux et bondé le midi par des touristes extérieurs à l'hôtel, beaucoup plus calme le soir.
Le midi la piscine est visible du restaurant et manque donc d'intimité.
AC et ventilateur très efficaces, moustiquaires présentes et indispensables.
Restaurant Tip:
Ne pas manger au restaurant de l'hôtel.... mais il est difficile de trouver un autre endroit. Car le repas est bon mais un peu occidentalisé et peu raffiné par rapport à ce que nous avons gouté ailleurs au SL.

nettes, einfaches Mittelklassehotel, sehr saubere Zimmer, freundliches Personal, mitreisende 2. Kind erhielt kostenfrei ein Frühstück, toller Pool, das Restaurant arbeitet zwar etwas langsam (wir warteten über 1 Stunde auf das Essen)- jedoch war das Essen sehr gut (auch westliches Essen war gut)

gute Ausgansposition für Rock Tempel Dambulla, Felsentempel Sigiriah
