Sigiriya Village Hotel, Sigiriya

We stayed for 3 nights in Sigiriya Village Hotel. The rooms are located in small cottages in a beautiful garden, walking distance to famous Sigiriya Rock. The Hotel is well maintained and very clean. Service at reception, restaurant and room maid was remarkable good. We only made bad experience with the travel counter, as there was almost no response on individual requests. We considered to book a safari to national park, but after waiting for more than one hour on a Jeep that was announced to arrive within 10-20 Min. we cancelled it and organised the trips on our own.

I lived in 103 rooms, not far from the lobby of a forest cottage, worthy of the name. Opened the door and is a dense forest. The forest, there are monkeys, pines, lizards, birds ,,,,,, great natural environment. Hotel also has its own farm, raising a lot of animals and vegetables and fruits, saw a lot of plants usually do not see, but also hold the newly born little lamb. Hotel SPA terrific steam bath, 30Minutes is an entirely new look. It is also very fair price. Meals are very fresh, I heard that come from their own farms. Personally, I particularly like to stay in their house outside the chair on the front of the forest-fat trance so very comfortable.
