Perfect location by the railway station

The hotel is just opposite the railway station, very close to buses to Alishan NP, and close to buses to Guanziling for example. It has AC rooms with quite large bathrooms. View is into a "courtyard". Very good value for money.

My stay was pleasant and was value for money. The only disadvantage point was the showering portion. Bath tub was quite small and have to wait for quite a while for hot water. But overall is acceptable.

Location to train station is great at this no frills older hotel

A decent place if you are looking for a stay at a good location, but only are in need of a most basic of rooms. Clean hard bed, air conditioning and a bathroom with the smallest towel. Nothing will stand out about the rooms but you are close to everything. Places to eat, movie house, night market, and train station are right out the door. Great base to visit Alishan from.

I read negative reviews about Shin Kao hotel.
But given that this is 1 star hotel, and with the price that you pay - you get what you paid for.
You still get free wifi & bed that is acceptable clean in an ageing building.

- Best location in Chiayi city - hotel is quite old but kept clean, the room was decent sized
