We enjoyed our stay at the hotel.
The breakfast was nice, the dinning hall view is very nice . Its also very close to the mrt, a short walk across the suspension bridge.

Its a nice hotel to stay, very relaxing view of the Lake / River.
We also had a direct view of the Taipei 101, a little far and only the top half, but still gives a good feeling. Nice Breakfast as well.

far from taipei center, clean rooms and bathroom, very bad food in the restaurant, there was no internet in the rooms that was working.
as the price is fairly fair, overall the hotel is ok if you don't mind taking the metro for at least half an hour to get anywhere.

My favorite hotel in Taipei

The Family deluxe room was advertised having a Jacuzzi bath but our room didn't have it. I went down to the front desk and complained about it. The manager was very friendly and helpful. We ended up being very satisfied with our upgraded room at no extra charge. This was our second time here. We will definitely go back again.
Extra note: We had some minor issues with bites after staying here both times.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Nice activities close by and out of the hustle and bustle of central Taipei. A nice walk over the special bridge. Nice paddling boats.

very comfortable and relaxing. good service and friendly staff. location a bit far but in general transportation is convenient. environment is clean and tidy. surroundings are beautiful and wonderful. hotel is a bit small but overall feeling is good for travellers. breakfast is good with quite a lot of choices. view from the hotel is good and beautiful just like the name of the hotel.

Nice hotel with convenient location

The hotel is close to the Xindian station. Although it was quite hard to find the way to the hotel at night, it's only a 5 minutes walk from the station once you know the way.
Riverview is nice. Breakfast is soso.

i booked a superior mountain view room which translates to view of nieghboring highrise buildings opposite the hotel (if yo pressed your face against the window and looked sideways you could just see a little sneek peek of mountains off to the side of the hotel lol)so that was a bit missleading.. asides from that room was reasonably clean from memory allthough a lil older than the pics would make it out to be, the shower worked ok which was a first compared to other hotels i had stayed in in taiwan (i get the feeling the taiwanese probably have a strong bath culture/tradition ? hot springs ect and that showers are a relitively new concept? there fore often installed in ways that defeat the purpose of having them in the first place)..anyway the hotel is located about 20 mins by train outside of the main taipei area but is an interesting area to stay, a bit slummish in parts but also located close to some beautiful scenery and some nice walking trails, it was well worth it for the different perspective you got from say ? staying in ximen for the whole time. the staff were helpfull and the breakfast was suprisingly decent, i wouldnt be to fussed if i had to stay here again
