Decent hotel in a great location

Great location but small room with old decor

It seems like the lobby area has been refurbished but the roos are still very old and small. Wifi is only available at the lobby. The location however is very central, just opposite Taipei main train, mrt and bus station.

The hotel is located above the main mrt station making it accessible to most areas in taipei. Also, it is just across the HSR thus allowing u to go to other parts of taiwan within 2 hours. The service crews there are very polite and helpful, and they introduce places where the locals would go instead of places where tourists are "chopped". The only disappointing area is the room. I got a deluxe suite and it was smaller than the picture, and on top of that, it looks really old. It's only after the 2nd night that i feel more comfortable living in it. Overall, it is a worth to stay hotel. (just don't put high hopes on the room itself)
Shopping Tip:
"Wife biscuits" or what the chinese calls "lao po bing": a very nice brand - "guo yuan ye". awesome!

The best location to Taipei main stn

Only a minute walk to Taipei main stn, which is very convenient for those who need to take high speed rail to go other are of Taiwan.
Friendly and polite staff.
Hotel building is quite old and you can tell from interior even though it seems remodeled.

stay in the hotel for 6 nite with break in between. hotel was kind enough to allow us to store our bags with them when we are out to other county.
they upgraded our rm to executive suite automatically which is much better then the delux. a very kind gesture.
location of hotel is right above the taipei main statio, it is very convenient to move around using their transport system.
overall very satisfied with our stay with the hotel

stay generally comfortable. hospitality is acceptable. however, room facilities are lacking somewhat. condition of the room should be refurbished new. it would make it an excellent choice by any standard should this be done soon enough

Great location, spacious rooms
Right on top Main Station, helpful staff and good restaurant.

Only stayed one night but would stay again. It was particularly good for us as we needed to take the High Speed Train and it was a doddle to reach the station. The staff seemed very nice and the buffet in the restaurant was very good also. Our room was on the 21st floor so nice and quiet above the hustle and bustle.

the hotel lobby is a bit small and doesn't look very impressive. however, it is easy to find the hotel as it's just opposite taipei main station. there are plenty of shopping near the hotel. ximending is about 10mins walk. the hotel has an underground walkway that is linked to the train station, that is another plus point.
it looked old and worn out. it was not a small room neither was it big, decent for a couple. bed was comfortable.
