Great location
conveniently located to all public transportation

The location is really great, it is my 1st time in Taipei, Taiwan. All the transportation is just around the hotel. Either you going far away from the city or just would like to go around Taipei. It is really accesible to all kind of transportation. If you like to take MRT, Train, Bus. The hotel also surrounded my food stall, if you are very adventurous you can go into small street the food are good and cheap. Also, around the hotel their are banks where you can have your money change. Banks got a good rate, than the hotel. It is really surprise me to learn that Taiwan don't accept US dollars that have the series of 1996 and 2003. According to them their have been lots of fake in that series. Also just around the corner is a big shopping mall Mitsoboshi. It is really hard to change money their, they don't accept notes that have any marks. Which you hardly seen in a US$100 bills. Taiwan money changer is only your hotel, banks, mall which is hard to change money with them. ;-(

Hotel is at a convenient location for free and easy travellers. Our package did not come with breakfast, but there are many small stalls selling street food just behind the hotel, e.g. rice roll/ball and the egg crepe with carrot cake. Only thing was that we're not too proficient in reading the Chinese words and had to see what others were ordering. There are food inside the hotel basement linkway to the MRT, and reasonably priced too, but we didn't have time and stomach capacity to try them, as there are just too many places to eat in Taipei.
If anything, the one failing of the hotel is the wireless internet connection. It was impossible to access from the room. I called the front desk and was advised to go the Level 2 to use the restaurant's wireless or to the business centre. What they didn't convey is that there is a wired LAN point in the room, hidden from view. I discovered it when I found the LAN cable in the drawer and set up my own wireless connection using a wireless modem bought in China. No problems surfing on iPhone and iPad thereafter!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Go to the Taipei City Centre if it's the first trip to Taipei. There's a Discover Taipei exhibition and very friendly volunteer guides who will proudly tell you the history of Taipei.

It is very convenient staying in this hotel. The train station is located nearby (HSR, TRA or Metro). There is even a basement lift connecting from the train station to the hotel.

Great location but rooms are old
just beside the train station for hsr, tra and mrt and bus. very convenient to move around

excellent location to take any form of transport. to and fro the airport is also very convenient. there are direct buses to and fro the airport. only 90nt per adult, 45nt per child. as for hsr, mrt, tra, can just walk from station to and fro hotel.
Travel tip:
Guo guang direct bus to and fro Airport is better than other operators

location is good with underground mall to Taipei main station, taking lift to B1. Daiso, Muji and 新光三越are a few steps away from hotel. Tried dinner at Dynasty of their famous 東波肉 quoted by Apple daily. Quite delicious to be eaten wih the steamed bun. 15% discount for their hotel customers. side note, upgraded us to 2 double bed room. very spacious and lots of taiwan tv channels to scan.
Shopping Tip:
bought 3G mobile broadband sim card from 台灣大哥大 twmobile. the shop is few steps away from hotel. min purchase 300nt = daily unlimited mobile broadband for 3 days.

Great location but room is too old.
Easy access for public transport and shopping mall.

The room and toilet is too old. Need to be renovated. No wifi in the room, we have to go to 9th floor for surfing net. Over priced.

Old but convenient hotel.

Very convenient for travelers who wish to take HSR, railway train,MRT or buses to the attractions. All amenities nearby, very centrally located. Like it!
Restaurant Tip:
Can try the restaurants and food courts located in Taipei main station, very nice food there.
