gorgeous view out the "river view" rooms on the upper floors not the biggest rooms you ever saw, the beds are hard as bricks (same as everywhere else in China), many of the front desk staff speak only minimal English I wouldn't recommend it for a honeymoon or as a destination hotel, but it's a nice enough place - small, clean, (except for a worn and stained carpet in my room) comfortable, decent breakfast, courteous staff - I was quite satisfied. It's walking distance from the Bund and Nanjing Street, even though the street it's on is totally uninteresting (plumbing supply shops, etc.) Learn how to say "398 East Beijing Road" in Chinese; taxi drivers don't know the place. Not much in the way of extras - tourist services, shops, etc. - it's mostly a business hotel. If I got a discounted rate like I did this last time, I'd stay there again, though. Not very exciting, but perfectly acceptable.
Travel tip : Three (rather smelly) blocks from Nanjing Lu, the hyper-modern, hyper-Westernized shopping street. While East Beijing Road looks like the middle of nowhere, Nanjing Lu has everything a homesick American could ask for...

great location, friendly English speaking staff, clean rooms, good buffet breakfast separate shower would have been nice but bathroom was adequate and clean This hotel is in a great location right opposite the Taipei Main Station. The staff were very helpful and friendly. There's an underground shopping mall across the road. The MRT service takes you all around Taipei. Easy to get to Shilin Night Markets and other attractions. Only downside is that one night we wanted a drink but the bar had already closed and there are no bars around this area.

Location, location and location. You can't beat the location of this 4-star hotel. It is right next to the Taipei Railway station, where you can easily access to both the high speed railway as well as the metro. And, if that is not enough, you can easily find buses to any place you want in Taipei and all of them pass thru the stops in front of the hotel. As for the hotel itself, the staffs are friendly and courteous. All in all, this is the best hotel you can find in Taipei. The decor of the hotel is a little dated. Other than that, nothing else is out of my expectation. Location, location and location. You can't beat the location of this 4-star hotel. Best location ever, easy to move around. Subway, Train station and bus station and even taxi are all right infront of the hotel.
The hotel room are spacious and the the twin queen size bed are excellent.The bathroom is big and clean too! Love the shower head! The lobby is very small.The whole hotel needed to be renovate. The first 2 day of the stay the air cond work perfactly but the last 2 night before we leave the room get very warm even we did turn the temperature to the minimum. Great hotel to stay, good for the business traveller, the tranportation right at your door step. Very friendly staffs and very efficient. That's plenty of nice restaurant around the hotel, try the underground restaurant. Buy the one day trip ticket if you travel around taipei using MRT very value for money and you get your deposit back at the end of the day. Night market is a must go places in taipei.

one of the female staff in Executive Lounge has very poor service. This is my second time stayed in this hotel serve with same poor girl. Luckily I forgot her name, otherwise i will make a complaint with her. one of the staff in Executive Lounge 9/F had very poor service, she's seems not professional hotel staff, this is my second time stayed in this hotel with the same poor service with same staff. And the toilet is very old, not renovated.

Beds were very firm Had nice stay while on business. Rooms comfortable and everything worked well. Weekend had lots of visitors and weddings...resturants were packed and long waiting or closed for private party

Fantastic location. Comfortable room size. Toilet seems old. Design is outdated
Carpet is old I would recommend friends & relatives for its location. This is a shopping spree trip for me & my mum so the location is definitely a "plus" points in staying in this hotel.
We are staying in the superior room so toilet and carpet is old. TV is not LCD panel and resolution is bad. Guess the deluxe room and above is better choice.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Join the land tour which can be arranged from the hotel lobby.

This hotel near the MRT Main Station, very easily to go anywhere, and near a lot of small stores. This hotel is ex Hilton. Last year, I stay at cosmos hotel that located in front of this hotel, but half price of Caesar Park, same convenience for location, and about same service level but half price.

I loved the room! the way the lay out was for the "suite" was incredible! very clean.. very well accomodating. no cons.. absolutely gorgeous hotel. As I entered the hotel it was very well decorated and very well taken care of.. The staff at the front desk were very helpful considering I did not know much mandarin they spoke very good english to my friend and I. They had given us the "small suite" and as I entered the room it was beautiful and bigger than I thought it would be.. I will definitely recommend this website for having this hotel and will also recommend the hotel as well!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : This hotel is literally fright infront of the Main Metro station which can take you anywhere you'd like in Taipei. It is also in the middle of everything including tourists shops, bars, attractions and always had cabs around if needed..

It's very convenient to find food and shops. A few walk to main subway station. Service is good. Room view is not good, can see only the next building. Facility is o.k. but not very modern style. Circumstance is not so luxury. Hotel is located in the center and very convenient. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. Hotel facility is o.k. but not so luxury. Overview is good and worth the money.

The biggest pro is definitely the location. It's right across from Taipei main station which cuts down on travel time if you're just in town for a few days Rooms are clean, but getting old Rooms are big and clean and the hotel is in a great location, although a bit pricey given its age. There are two Jacuzzi’s on the roof, but the water was cold. Nice view though. Many attractions are in walking distance, and the Taipei main station across the street connects to the rest of them. I recommend it, if you're not budget traveling. See You Hotel and the YMCA are also very close by.
Hotel Feature Tip : Hotel gym was alright, but there is a big California gym complex right next door. Plenty of restaurants, cafe's and street food all around the hotel.

very convenient and friendly staff We stayed for 4 days and 3 nights. Caesar Park is very convenient. It's right across from the street from Taipei Rail station and is right next main Taipei subway station. We were able to go out do our shopping and head back to the hotel to drop things off midday. There are multiple shops and restaurants nearby. Definitely a very good place to stay
