Ok but a bit overpriced for what you get

It is ok but the rooms look a bit old and we had a disturbing smoke smell from neighbour rooms. Breakfast room very crowded. you should get better Deals at that price. It is quite a Walk to the next Metro.

the time i went there was constuction work happen in front of hotel so really loud

the stay was ok. but due to construction work it really ruin the stay, hotel is rather old. Needs a new reno. But location is decent a 10minnute walk to the 101 tower,

the hotel is located in the da'an area where it is like a commercial district. if you are looking for a more local feel, then you might not like the hotel. however if you enjoy city living, this hotel is great.
furthermore, the hotel is just 1 traffic junction away from a night market. alot of amenities nearby and there is also a 24hr watson directly opposite.
overall, it is a great hotel. nice stay and definitely worth going back.
only cons is that it is a smaller hotel and the size gives you a feel of a 3 star.

The location is great, the service was great, room was small but clean

The location was the best part about this hotel-- only a 7 min walk to Taipei 101. We got in really late, and the staff suggested we go to the hot pot restaurant next door which was SO GOOD. The breakfast buffet is pretty bad, but there is a nice bakery with all kinds of buns and breads just next door so we ate that in the morning instead. The staff was very nice and friendly. The rooms are small but very clean.
The staff struggled to come up with suggestions for what we could do/eat, so I suggest doing your research before you get there.

This hotel is a great "why not?" choice. You will not find a long glamorous list of amenities here, and if you are the type where the hotel itself is an importanrt part of your visit, then I'd look elsewhere. But, if you are the kind who believes the hotel is just the place you rest your head, this could be for you. The price is extremely reasonable given the neighborhood, and it's walking distance to the Xinyi district, 101, a bunch of nightlife, and a big, fun nightmarket.
On the minus side, it's on the old side and the room I had had a shower only (no tub). But the rest was good--there was a flat panel TV, dvd player, hot water boiler, etc all in the room so one would be hard-pressed to say what was egregiously missing.
Nightlife Tip:
Lots and lots in the area. Marquee is great if you aren't looking for a giant expat magnet.
