cosmos is a very conveniently located hotel in taipei.
staff are mostly helpful, except Carli at the reception who was a condescending and racist b****.
the hotel managers at the lobby and restaurant make you feel welcomed.
buffet breakfast is good with plenty of fruits.

Requested for a room with window and we were upgraded to a bigger room with 1 single and 1 double bed.
Staff were friendly and helpful.
The buffet spread was good overall but it's the same spread daily for the 3 days we were there.

Great hotel
Location, clean and quiet

Small boutique hotel. Modern rooms. Rooms are well appointed. Room size is small but typical for Hong Kong. The location is great both in terms of for doing business on Hong Kong Island and also in regard to nightlife and restaurants. I would recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a hotel on the island.

As mentioned in my previous comment (we went to kenting for a few days and booked this hotel twice), carli at the reception was hell to handle. so avoid her if you can.
it's the location and friendly staff that make this hotel stand out.

the location is unbeatable. i hate a long walk from the metro station to the hotel after a long day of walking around, so having a hotel room right next door to main taipei station was perfect. not only is the location good, but the underground mall with plenty of food options makes it an excellent choice as well. we were happily surprised with breakfast the following morning--plenty of choices and good coffee. service at the hotel is excellent. we arrived in the morning, and as expected our room was not ready. however, they said we could rest in the vip lounge on the top floor and help ourselves to coffee, drinks, and snacks. my husband did that while i showered in the gym across the hall. it was a perfect alternative to not having a room.
the rooms are small and dated, but comfortable and clean. because we spend so little time in our hotel rooms the only things we priortize are cleanliness, comfortable beds, and location--which is exactly what we got. if these are important to you, then you won't be disappointed with cosmos.

3 minutes walk to Taipei Main Station MRT. Lots of things to do around the area - shopping, commuting, dining & etc. Very convenient location and taxi drivers have no problem sending you to this well known hotel. The breakfast was excellent - western and oriental choices. For coffee lover you can grab the americano black coffee. Overall, great location, great staff and clean hotel.....

Facilities in the toilet are great. Lovely hotel and service with a great smile and thank you. Very convenience location as hotel just beside all the main station - to take MRT around the city and high speed railway to tao yuan station and transfer to ubus shuttle service to tao yuan international airport.

Great location next to Taipei Main Station

the cosmos hotel is right next to the taipei main station, so it is really easy to get to any tourist locations around taipei. there are also a number of tourist spots within walking distance of the hotel as well. taipei main station also has many restaurants and food options, so you don't need to go far to eat. the staff at the hotel were really helpful, and many of them spoke english. they also are able to change money for you into nt$. in addition, there is a tour company that has a booth at the hotel in the lobby, so you can book a tour right there at the hotel, and the tour guide will pick you up at the hotel on the day of your tour. recommended for someone who wants a clean hotel in a great location!
Restaurant Tip:
There are plenty of restaurants and places to eat right inside Taipei Main Station, which is next to the Cosmos Hotel.
