Nice small hotel with good location

We enjoyed our stay at Dahshin hotel. The room was incredibly small, but clean, functional and modern. The bathroom was also small but all are functioning well.
Receptionists were very friendly and helpful. We might stay at the same hotel again, if we visit Taipei next time.

Small room, but close to airport bus and subway

I stayed at a room on the 2nd floor, which allowed me to access the free 1st floor wifi. This hotel is a 5 minute walk (with luggage) to the Taoyuan airport bus, and a 10 minute walk to Zhongshan subway station. This is one of those hotels where you leave your key with the front desk when going out and pick up the key when coming back. I had no problems communicating with the front desk person (day/night shift) in English. I mistakenly booked my room with a departure of a day earlier, but the front-desk person helped me extend the stay with no problems. The room included free cable tv, and breakfast on the first floor. My room got cold at night, but the blankets seemed to be designed to handle that. I would come back to this hotel and recommend this to others.
Restaurant Tip:
Good food is found in small street vendors within walking distance. All of their menus are written in Chinese only and the vendor do not understand English. It is very important to be able to read Chinese or have a friend who can. I was lucky to have a local Taiwanese friend.

A small and well located hotel, near commercial st
Good relation with the price, good location and efficient communication to the airport and to the city by the subway.

good service, i enjoyed breakfast although it has an asian orientation (it's obvious). i could walk to many commercial streets, central bus station and department stores. the subways is easy to utilize. at the room, a little small, but good air-conditionned and some tv stations in english.

this hotel is just a five minute walk away from the mrt just a minute away from the nearest bus stop. rooms are clean and large enough. there is a ref, an electric kettle, and hair dryer. the hotel staff know quite a bit of english and are always ready to help in any way.

Clean but temperature of shower unstable

We stayed for just a night. Overall, the location is not too far away from the train and room is clean. Transport to the Taoyuan Airport the next day is super convenient, just a short walk for a direct.
The only disappointment is temperature of shower alternates from hot and cold. Was told by the customer service this could be due to many checking-ins and they taking shower at the same time. Suggestion was to fill up the bathtub instead.
All in all, still quite ok for the convenient to airport.

what my mum and i love the most was the very friendly and very helpful staff. they showed appropriate and sincere concerns for my mum. very clean environment and they serve simple but freshly prepared local and international cuisine for breakfast. another big plus is the hotel guests are quiet (not rowdy and noisy).

Dahshin 酒店位置十分好, 位於中山北路南京東路口, 交通很便利, 往機場或搭捷運都很方便, 附近商圈非常熱鬧.房間是一般台北酒店設計, 沒有什麼豪華裝飾, 但乾淨, 整齊。我下次到台北仍會入住！
