Location if quite far away from Tapei Railway station, not easy to find as it is not location at the main road, somewhere like back block. The street in the front door is a mess, the entrance to the front desk has a show staircase, the sliding path next to it is very slope. Not good for people with luggage. The basement level we live (cannot imagine there is room in basement, You can smell some smell from sweage system when you walk into the room. Air-cond for ten minutes will solv the problem. Take case of your step if light off. There is a step between the bed and the door. The room is small so the distance between bed and door. If you wake up and forget the step nearby, you will get broken nose or frature arm or leg. Never see such floor plan in hotel. Maybe they just want to make more room and earn more only.

the hotel is old and the rooms are quite ordinary so nothing special to boast about however the location is great as it is on the most leafy street of taipei and in the area where there are more modern restaurant, good department stores, markets and bus and metro stations near by. The staff are truly friendly and helpful.

This is a traditional old Japanese style business hotel but has been kept and maintained very well. Staff are very friendly; the night shift gentleman even walked me to the church after his shift that I was asking for direction. Such a nice guy. He is an asset of this hotel. Rooms are kept clean and tidy, amenities are replenished daily. Though breakfast buffet was simple and basic, it was perfect for business travelers. Location is very nice, centrally located, few minutes from MRT, lots of local eateries nearby and a park just a few steps out. Strong wifi in room. A shuttle bus from airport (NT$125) stops a few steps from this hotel. With the room price, what more can I ask for. Perfect for budget travelers.
